We stopped at Rock City Cafe on our way north up the coast from Boston. We just wanted a cup of coffee, and my daughter searched online and found this great place. She had her favorite, a latte, and I had mine, black coffee. It was the best. Since it was St. Patrick's Day, they were offering a special lamb stew... More

I had never gotten past the fantastic cake/cookie/pie/scone options at Rock City - even though I've been going there for at least 4 summers. During a stay for the Fishermen's Forum in March, I took a coworker there for lunch. We both really enjoyed our sandwiches. In fact, he stated it was the best grilled cheese he'd ever had. He... Love the town of Rockland, the Rock City Café is a good stop over to rest and take in the people and sites. Nice book store in back.

Cool atmosphere, great food, Maine Craft Beers ! Friendly staff- a true destination when in the area. They have a great used books section and offer occasional live music. Great mix of people.

The best blueberry muffin, amazing coffee, reasonable prices, even the egg and cheese (with or without bacon) burrito's were insane. Great service, smiles abound.

The Rock City Café is just about a mandatory stop for us whenever we hit the Thomaston/Rockland area several times per year. This café takes a ton of pride in their brewing capabilities, and it shows. Rarely will you see, at least away from a major city, a menu board with so many different beverage options from which to choose.... More

This is a "come back to" place. Have called here on every visit to Maine. People who care serving people who appreciate it. Superb blueberry muffin (what better in Maine). Great coffee too.

I was told to come and try this little cafe if I wanted to have some yummy coffee. In so very glad that I did. They had lots of different kinds of coffee types (all locally roasted down the street at their own roastery) and any number of coffee drinks. We had some muffins and got some scones to take... More

Only had lattes, good thing was: they had almond milk for my wife. Vibe was good, fairly quiet for the number of people inside. We would come back.
