After hearing so many people rave about these hot dogs, I finally tried one. I don't see what all the fuss is about--- They are decidedly mediocre and can't begin to compare to some of the dogs we get back in PA- In fact, Hebrew...More

Got two regular dogs (mustard, relish, and grilled onions). Great dogs grilled on a flat top in a steamed bun. My only reason I am not giving them a 5 rating is the dogs are served in a napkin which stuck to my steamed bun...More

Wasses is almost legendary, and deservedly so. A hole in the wall in Rockland with a parking lot, they serve nothing but hot dogs, in a variety of styles and combinations. You go to the window, order your dog(s), and get them immediately. The meat...More

A small chain operation, Wasses is very popular but we find its hot dogs to be just average...no natural casing "snap" and fairly boring flavor. Friendly staff makes it a fine quick stop but we would not drive much out of the way to get...More

Better than ball park dogs and MUCH cheaper! Quick service, tasty food (and hot) - great for a quick stop and eat.

No indigestion after eating their dog with; while that was a plus, we didn't think their dogs were anything special. I personally like my dogs with a "snap".

You just cannot beat the dogs at this walkup stand. I usually pass on hot dogs but these are incredibly tasty.

Last I knew they used the brand Neighborhood which I have found at Market Basket. But the key is cooking it in peanut oil with onion's and having a steamed bun. I've tried to recreate but there's just something magical... More

Never eaten at the Wasses in Damariscotta. Probably just as good as the other locations. As far as gift certificates call them and inquire - 207-338-6431. I only review a place if I have eaten there. Damariscotta just... More
