My husband and I heard about this place while attending a conference in Rockland last year. So glad that we did because this place in amazing. They have cakes, cookies, squares, coffee, cold drinks, specialty candy and menu items. A nice clean bathroom and a cute eat in area upstairs. Highly recommend the little cakes they have in the cold... More
The food here is horrifically overpriced (this is Rockport, not NYC) and, while it looks nice, it is mostly flavorless. The service is AWFUL. Pack a lunch. The staff is obviously miserable. I watched the owner degrade a staff member there not long ago. In full view of the public in the lineup. I have noticed that staff never stays... More
Come early for the breakfast items. They sell out. You will see someone you know in here because there is something for every one.
Had a takeaway quesadilla for lunch Pros: *good value for money. I could only eat half and it was $7.00 *perfect for people like me who have a fear of the slippery mystery processed sandwich meats. This was with turkey from the real bird. Like thanksgiving turkey. *came with side of sour cream and a mild salsa To take it... More

It was the towards the end of the afternoon but there wasn't much to chose from and we left without buying anything. The staff were not... More
There are actual photographs of maggot eggs in their chicken salad sandwiches.... And look at the expiration dates on some of the food - there's no way prepared food can last for weeks like that. Stay away from here!!! Besides, it's extremely overpriced anyway. This place needs a complete overhaul.
Upon arriving, we were expecting a small gourmet market, but what a surprise The Market Basket was! Besides being too crowded with people, it was fantastic. They have packaged items for sale, including wines, spreads, sweets, sauces and a myriad of other products. In addition, they have great food items to enjoy either upstairs at the tables, or to take... More
We used to love going to the Market Basket but then the ownership changed hands. We do not life the food offerings as much and the staff are not very friendly. It has lost its way and lost us as customers.
The Market Basket if you want to get great food to go or stay and eat it there. Wide range of gourmet food for breakfast lunch and dinner. Most people take their meal to go.
