We had dinner at the Deck. Dinner was enjoyable. Great service and vibe. Beautiful dining room that was rustic but with an understated elegant with emphasis on local art, flowers, and plates. The place was sit in a pristine cove. My only complaint was breakfast...that we had as guests of the hotel. We were served stale bread croutons. No one could eat them as they were so hard you could break your teeth. I asked for regular bread since the croutons were a big part of breakfast that was inedible but the server said they had no fresh bread. So we left hungry. Disappointed for a place that charges over 500 a night room. A couple at the table next to us also joked that they would tell their kids not to order that breakfast due to the stale bread.More

The food was sublime. The service was impeccable yet friendly and relaxed. The venue was breathtaking. My children organized this night for my 65th birthday and it was the best meal of my life, so far.

My wife and I had our anniversary dinner here last night. We had been excited to try it for many months. It was everything we’d hoped it would be. There is a magic fairy-like vibe to the whole property and maybe that applies to Chef...Finnegan as well. The staff are an eclectic group of faerie themselves plucked from all over the world and especially attentive to the delights of each guest. The tasting menu was beautifully constructed with each dish flowing across our palates like the waves washing over the beach below. Pure, elegant, powerful and full of the flavors of Maine. My favorite dish was a surprise addition of Morels with Gnocchi and a Mushroom au jus. The zero proof beet drink is appropriately named as it transported me to my grandmothers farm at summer and her pickled sweet beets. I could eat a jar by my self. It was an overall special and moving experience.More

The food here is simply amazing. We had the tasting menu. It was not just dinner, but an entire experience. The service was exceptional. Each server described and gave background on each course. The courses were timed perfectly-almost like a symphonic performance coming together. We...could not pick a favorite course, since every course was soooooo good!More

We stayed here 25 years ago when it was Goose Cove Lodge and we were so pleased to visit this beautiful, tranquil place once more. The cabin was very comfortable and the food was excellent. Will definitely go back!

We were pleased to learn that Aragosta was open for a la carte on Mondays -Wednesdays in September. According to many websites it appeared to be closed, so we were fortunate to drive over to see the place and spoke to an employee who told...us otherwise. What a view of Goose Cove! It was a beautiful day, so we decided to get there early for dinner on the deck. The a la carte menu on a Wednesday has some lighter fare and limited wine choices, and they open at 4 pm, so it was good we arrived before 4:30 because many of the tables were already occupied. We had a beautiful early evening out on the deck. My sister ordered the mussels, which were in a thai coconut sauce. She said she would have preferred the traditional wine sauce, but the mussels were fresh. I had the clam chowder - more like a stew - quite watery and a lot of broth, not clams. We also split a pizza margherita - it was just ok. I wasn't happy with the wine choices, but that's all they had available with this menu. All in all, however, I would go back to sit on that deck and look at the water. Incredible view.More

Truly the best food we had in Maine. The seafood could not be fresher and more beautifully prepared and presented. The service was first class, too.

This is a special place in every way. The scrumptious dinner was an incredible two hour tasting event, one that my wife and I will never forget. So imaginative and delicious. In my humble opinion, Chef Devin Finigan is right up there with Chef Melissa...Kelly of Primo when it comes to creating an exceptional dining experience. And her staff, all top notch human beings, courteous and highly skilled, kind and generous. Went out if their way to make us feel important and right at home the entire time we were there, three nights and four days. Included a gourmet breakfast each morning which never failed to impress and satisfy. And as far as the gorgeous property goes, we absolutely loved every second we spent there. From eating local oysters on our private deck while gazing at the picturesque cove to exploring the rocky coast and Barred Island during low tide, we could not have imagined a better getaway. So if you’re reading this and contemplating a culinary adventure of your own up this way, don’t hesitate, book it now, & bon appetit.More

Be sure to make reservations ahead of time. They have limited searing and there were no open time slots. We were devastated. The host was so polite and did try to see if he could squeeze us in since we were only in town that...day. But we told him not to worry about it. The place looked beautiful. Very trendy and modern decorating with a stunning view. Menu sounded amazing. Definitely regret not planning ahead.More

My wife and I enjoyed a superb anniversary dinner last Friday night. The tasting menu offered was spectacular in very way. Some unique and inventive takes on locally available and fresh seafood and farmed produce. The staff was polite, attentive and knowledgeable. The wine list...excellent and a bit adventurous. The oyster, lobster, rabbit and lamb courses were standouts among standouts. The Xinomavro with the lamb was perfection married to perfection. Can’t say enough good things!More

We had a group of seven lifelong friends visiting Maine and wanting a first rate dining experience - we were all foodies. Each plate on Aragosta’s tasting menu was divine and so memorable. It takes a true artist and great chef to pull together all...the fresh local produce, fish, meat, and herbs to create dishes with sublime layers of taste. I loved and savored every bite. Mat, the manager, could not have been nicer. He described each dish in detail, answering all our questions. He had an obvious background in fine cuisine. We were able to reserve a private greenhouse, and had a beautiful view of the bay. It was the perfect dinner and an unforgettable evening.More

Didn't know what to expect when I saw they moved to cove, but we had been in their downtown Stonington previous restaurant which was always excellent. This place had an amazing setting and a delicious prix fixed 3 hour meal to boot.

Not sure what to put at the top of the list for our party of 8 best friends who get together once a year… so here are the top reasons to make sure you make it a point to come to this restaurant.. 1) The...food is amazing and unique.. I’ve never had anything like chefs table menu. Small dishes but there were something ten of them and all absolutely fantastic 2) the ambiance is amazing …. Beautiful architecture with perfect Maine view 3) fantastic server to guest ratio. Attentive, wonderful and entertaining Our party of 8 was enthralled and delighted from 8 pm to 11 pm! This is an expensive occasion - thus in part a bucket-list category. Range will be $120-$200 a person. Make reservations month(s) in advance for one of two seatings. If you are vacationing then stay at the Pilgrm's Inn which is a 10-15 minute drive from the restaurant.More
