Her farm-to-table cuisine features only the freshest and best quality meat, seafood and produce from local purveyors. Her love of Mediterranean and Italian cooking and the Maine coast come together for a beautiful menu of delicious food that is simply good. Guests will enjoy dishes like Chef Devin's specialty, butter-poached lobster ravioli, while overlooking the breathtaking views of Stonington Harbor. This restaurant is beautiful - - overlooking a scenic bay and beach area. It is a 'tasting' style dinner with exceptional food and ambiance. It is pricey though and could be overwhelming if you don't know what to expect. My only complaint was with the...wine pours. It seems that many fancy spots like this think a tiny pour makes the wine 'special'.. We'll, it does not. If I pay 16 dollars a glass for an average Chardonnay, it should at least be a decent pour. The food was fantastic.More

WOW. I am still dreaming about Aragosta and cannot wait to come back again and again. My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and celebration here, with 8 close family members staying in cabins on the property. Our experience was everything we could have...imagined and so much more. The staff at Aragosta went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend incredibly special. We cannot thank them enough. Dan, the manager, coordinated our weekend from day one, making sure that every logistical detail was squared away. Marvin was our waiter for both nights at dinner, and impressed us with his knowledge of food and his vibrant personality. I can't say enough good things about Devin, who is a complete rockstar; her incredible vision is clearly what makes Aragosta so special. We had the tasting menu for dinner both nights and were blown away each time. The attention to detail is astounding and the plating is absolutely stunning. The meal progresses beautifully and you can taste the freshness of each ingredient. It was hands down the best meal that I've ever had, and our family members agree. Standout dishes included the butternut squash consumee and Devin's signature lobster tortellini. We had breakfast both mornings as well; both options were excellent and our family agreed that the pancakes were the best they've ever tasted. The cabins are gorgeous and a wonderful combination of rustic and luxury. My husband and I stayed in Elm; the rest of our family stayed in Juniper and Maple. The cabins were decorated impeccably. But perhaps the best part of the experience is the property that the cabins sit on. The beach is private and magical; there are wooded trails throughout that make you feel like you're in a fairy tale. I think it's important to mention that this all happened during COVID-19 and we never once felt uncomfortable or unsafe. It was first time for me, my husband and most of our family members to dine inside while at Aragosta and we felt 100% good about it. All staff members were masked and the tables are appropriately spaced. They also have a huge deck overlooking the ocean that is perfect for outdoor dining. I could go on and on about Aragosta, but I will just end with this: if you want a magical dining and travel experience in a beautiful location in Maine, then go. You will not be disappointed.More

My other half surprised me with birthday reservations at Aragosta. The drive in was an adventure at night. Go slow! Once you enter the parking lot you immediately appreciate the beauty of Aragosta and it’s surroundings. Immediately we were welcome by the staff and shown...to our table. The tasting menu was set for the night but the chef was more than willing to accommodate allergies and food sensitivities. None here! The food was amazing. The staff warm and inviting. I can’t say enough about the staff. Upon completion of our meal they continued to ensure our time at Aragosta was amazing. All in all. Delicious food. Surprise courses. Fantastic staff. The perfect meal for a special night out.More

Arrive hungry, leave full! We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here and loved everything about the place! Even in the fog, it was lovely!! Well-spaced tables, masked servers and a charming atmosphere! In addition to the 9 tastings on the menu, we were delighted to...have harms a few ‘surprise’ courses along the way! The flavors of every “course” were amazing!! Chef Devin Finigan kept our mouths happy and our bellies full on an explosion of amazing tastes!! 5 stars simply isn’t enough for this incredible experience!!!More

One of our top ten meals globally. Exceptional food and superb service, period. My only request would be to improve the wine program- the list is very small and overweighted in the organic wine sector. Food this good needs a more imaginative list with properly...aged wines available. On our stay, the cabin we were in was nice, but the bathroom was old and felt like a motel- rustic is good but renovate the bathroom given the prices charged. The location is stunning with Barred Island preserve and its tidal sand bar literally right there.More

In Stonington for the weekend, and Aragosta was our first inside restaurant dinner since the coronavirus began. It was a success. Tables were well spaced, but it looked like they accommodated about 35 diners. Service was very individual — something always appreciated, but particularly in...these days! We had the tasting menu, as well as wine pairings. The menu was a lengthy series of wonderful dishes. We ended up eating more than needed, and still took some home. But we enjoyed every bite. But as good as the food was, the wine pairings were extraordinary. Made the meal!More

This is an amazing restaurant and a wonderfully relaxing villa. My wife and I spent 2 nights in Sea Glass suite and had two marvellous meals. Here is a review of the restaurant and the suites. The property was bought by Chef Finigan and her...Husband in January 2019. They spent 6 months doing an extensive renovation of the restaurant and lodging. Quality and attention to detail are evident. Restaurant: my oh my this is a special restaurant. Farm to table with an amazing focus on detail and unique delicious food. Chef Devin Finigan blends flavors and ingredients that will leave you craving more (the Lobster casoncelli is delicious). She churns out her own butter and makes the restaurants sea salt on site, even the linens and table ware was locally produced by artisans. All is authentic. The wine list is thoughtful and surprisingly reasonable. The staff is wonderfully engaging and relaxed offering personalized attention to all. Last and not least, the view is 100% Maine coast, with every table providing vistas and views of Goose Cove that are beautiful and idyllic. Come here for the food, you will not be disappointed. Lodging: There are 14 cottages and suites offering comfort and privacy with casual and tasteful comfort. No TV’s which was great and limited wifi(main building) provided a much needed disconnect. The view of Cove and the total serenity was so peaceful. Watching the lobster boats tooling around and the rising and falling tide will help drain the stress from almost anyone. Bed was very comfortable and relaxing. Breakfast was included (very tasty) and if you are a hiker there is a wonderful hiking trail that connects to The Nature Conservancy Barred Island trails that are adjacent to the property. In summary this is a special property and elegant restaurant. It is well worth the trip to visit offering Downeast hospitality, impeccable dining to please the discriminating palettes and lodging experience that is comfortable, relaxing in an absolutely gorgeous setting.More

My girl friend had come into town unplanned and I wanted to take her to the well talked about Aragosta, as expected the night was booked out but we were able to find ourselves seats at the bar. The night quickly picked up and the...whole dining room was full, many talkative guests, everywhere. We were even able to meet a great couple sitting next to us who came from Georgia. The energy in this place was so upbeat and friendly. And the view, my gosh, we saw an amazing sailboat cross through even from our bar seats! My friend was blown away. Though for how busy it was, the food was still wonderful and beautifully detailed. She had the lobster Pasta dish and she couldn’t stop talking about cream sauce! My favorite was by far the dessert, the peach cobbler! I was in heaven! We had a blast, thank you!More
