It was so nice to be able to get a good cup of coffee locally. Nothing against the local diner but 44 North roasts their own beans and are well versed in a good cup of coffee. Loved being able to get a pour over....We also loved the simplicity of 44 North with no extra frills or sugary sweet espresso drinks.More
We just love this place. In fact, we've stopped by every day of our week long stay in Stongington. Wonderful drip coffee, delicious iced coffee, and the pastries, oh my! From the scones to the cookies, one cannot go wrong. The decor is lovely, and...staff is friendly. Prices are average. My only wish is that I will be able to find some of the pastry recipes so that I can replicate them upon my return home!More
Coffee snob and possessor of a serious sweet toothhere: 44 North has excellent coffee and pastries. I had both drip coffee and pour over which were both excellent. I loved the smoky Royal Tar blend. The pastries arrive from a nearby bakery a few times...per week and are absolutely amazing! Try them all- you will not regret it
Covid related: hand sanitizer and masks are available at the door. Plexiglass barrier in front of counter. Very good predations and nice employees!More
We stayed within walking distance at the Inn on the Harbor the night before tasting the oh so delicious pour over coffee offered at this cute little shop. Located on the Main Street in Stonington, they roast their own beans and the pour over was...made to perfection in my travel mug. Much to my delight I saw they use pasta noodles as stirrers in place of plastic ones. The shop has tables inside and out for one to enjoy their cup. I wish I had taken pictures of the cute shop but all I have is of the three bags of beans and a reusable tote that I bought! Defiant put this coffee house in your list!More
44 North is a great place for locals and visitors alike. You can get a good cup of coffee along with a scoop of Stonington color. They roast their own beans and the coffees and teas are flavorful. There is also a choice of yummy...pastries but get there early because they go fast. The staff is friendly and good baristas. They do not currently offer any espresso drinks so don't go ordering any lattes.....More
We had their coffee twice and were very pleased. It’s been hard to get a great cup of coffee during our Maine travels, until now...we were pleased to find it back in Belfast (at Moonbat Bakery) as well. Ahhhh.
