Yes, Thomaston's roads are a mess due to complete renovation of the main thoroughfare. Yes, there is not a lot of charm in our downtown right now. However, there is an outstanding little restaurant right Main St. on the corner by the traffic light that is worth the trip. The Thomaston Cafe boasts an owner/chef who creates sensational main courses... More

Our friends that live in Maine recommended this place and we were by today for lunch. I had the Lobster chowder which was amazing, and Lobster is my favorite. Ordered with a veggie wrap also very tasty, with French fries, yum. This was a lot of food but so worth consuming. My sweetie had the Patty melt and the Haddock... More

The lobster and corn bisque was outstanding, much better than expected in this little bistro in Thomaston. The meal could have been in the big city -- Boston, Portland, Providence -- except the service was too friendly (too friendly for a big city, that is!). Crab cakes on greens were pretty good, although I prefer Maryland blue crab. The prices... More

MINIs of Maine, a MINI Cooper Club, trekked into Thomaston on our September Rally. Ryan and his staff were ready for our group of 28 people and had us taken care of swiftly and efficiently. We had provided notice and Ryan even added a special for our group, MINI Cooper Sliders! The food offerings were fresh, creative and varied providing... More

Ate here twice - once in the summer and once in the fall. Both times the food was great! This is not your typical pile on a big serving of slop and you are on your way. This restaurant cooks a work of art. You can tell there is great care in both the making of the meal and the... More

We had been coming to the Thomaston Cafe for years. It had been our tradition to have breakfast with our extended family here on our last day of vacation. Our reason for coming here every year was because the food was very good, the cafe was charming and appropriate for children. We were so looking forward to it again this... More

Scrumptious scallops inside a roll, great ice tea, eye-catching food presentation, and wonderful service: a unique and inviting atmosphere in Downtown Thomaston. Add blueberry pie with flaky crust and whipped cream for dessert and bask in a relaxed happy state after lunch.

Several months ago we had a somewhat unfortunate experience with a server here at dinner and posted our review on TA. We've been back, and will return again, perhaps as early as tomorrow. Only Home Kitchen comes close. A few days ago wife and I had great omelets, and daughter went to heaven with her smoked salmon and bagel. I've... More
