Just a classic on the old highway. We had Maine boiled dinner and roast turkey dinner. 4 star even with problems. The turkey was a bit dried up on the edges as if it were cooked as s breast fillet and let sit out for 8 hours. Still good. And the "boiled" dinner was as advertised, boiled. And just a... More

We stopped at the Maine Diner purely by accident. It was along our route to Portland, Maine and we were hungry. We discovered that it had been featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, one of the shows I watch on the Food Channel. There was a pretty long line to get in for lunch and we decided that we didn't... the Maine Diner is an institution in the area. That's good and bad. Good because it has been recognized that the food is good and the service is efficient. Bad because it is almost always crowded and noisy. The menu is standard fare, the portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. Many people go for breakfast and enjoy the... More

Very noisy and crowded. If you can stand that, the servings are large and there are plenty of options to choose from on the menu.

Great comfort food, breakfast, lunch and diner. Seafood dishes are good, but the seafood chowder is the best tasting chowder I have had along the New England coastline. Though, I would have liked a little more lobster or clams in it. A friendly and courteous staff, too! Live the Maine diner experience here!

Had to try this place and it was exactly what everyone has said..very friendly and the food was excellent...I had the fried clams and my wife had the hot Lobster roll although she said she would prefer the regular way a cold lobster roll.. homemade potatoe salad was also excellent....we will go back.

Stumbled on this place during our wedding trip! I did not know it had been featured on TV but my oh my I understood why after. The food is so good and the downeast personality even more so. The wild blueberry pancakes are terrific as well as the omelets. It was good to see that TV did not go to... More

We stopped here after attending a show at the Ogunquit Playhouse. We were traveling off season and there was still a waiting line outside to get in. The turn over of patrons is fast. My friends each got a side of mac n cheese for their meal, which was plentiful and more than they could eat. They have the most... More

Based on Guy Fieri and Triple D we went for the lobster pie. Big mistake. Overpriced, overcooked, miniscule pieces of lobster. Won't be back

If you're looking for good food and great service this is the place. You might have a wait but the food is worth it. We sat at the counter and enjoyed our conversation with the "friendly" staff. A must if you're visiting the area - won't be disappointed. We'll be back next year!!
