We heard great things about Billy's, so we decided to try it for dinner one night of our vacation in Maine. First off - the dining room was HOT. Uncomfortably hot, and it wasn't even that warm outside. The waitress was a little off-putting. Almost like we were inconveniencing her by just being there. The water glasses are miniscule! If... We came for lunch on Thursday June 4,2015.. The food was decent, although not very hot. Due to terrible wait service our meal was not one I would recommend to anyone. The chowdah.. Was great.. Coffee was cold. The waitress didn't bring out chowdah, or salad until whole meal was served. She never asked if we wanted rolls, nor did... More

Billy's is way overdue for a renovation. The carpet is disgusting, and the bathrooms are tiny. My lobster roll was good - but average for Maine. My son had fish tacos - $15 for lunch but seemed decent. Kids menu is decent. I love salt marshes, and their view of one is the prize. We left saying "Ho hum" instead... More

We always visit Billy's Chowder House during our frequent trips to Ogunquit. The seafood chowder is wonderful, as are the whole belly fried clams. The service is consistently good and the views are wonderful. If you are sports fan, especially Boston-team oriented, the bar is a great place to watch a game. We are such chowder addicts, we get a... More

Valet parking, great menu. Tried the lazyman's lobster but portions seemed skimpy, next time we'll go for the whole lobster. Friendly and efficient staff. Would return again, seemed like very busy place.

Very busy ,food is OK, but expensive for what you get. Also very noisy...Not much more to say. Many years ago it was our favorite place to eat,nut now has become too commercial.

We always stay in Maine for a week, and our Hotel is near Billy's Chowder House. The place is always packed, so we assumed it was good. It is just OK, the waitress was nice, it was freezing in there. I actually had to go out to my car and get a heavy jacket and wear it all through dinner.... More

We were torn between Billy's and another place in Wells for a whole lobster dinner. We ended up choosing here because it would have a better view. When we went, there was a dense mist so that pretty much took the scenery away, but it was still pretty cool to look out the big windows. We were seated right away... More

We have been to Billy's a few times and always enjoy our food. Each time we've been the service has been great! The prices are a bit up there but the portions are pretty big and the food is yummy! We recommend!

Service was wonderful, local beer was great, lunch special (Cajun fish/chips) very mediocre, especially for the price. Should have tried something different. Three small pieces of fish, soggy Fries's, food service coleslaw ...it could have been good with a little effort. Not very busy, as well, so a rushed kitchen was no excuse. Next time I will stick with lobster,... More
