Everything on the menu looks outstanding but if you love mussels, this is the place for you! A 1/2 bucket of mussels (45 mussels....we counted 'em!) is $15 but for $1 more at lunchtime you can add from a choice of appetizers and soda or iced tea. The appetizers were exceptional: asparagus and arugula for my husband; I chose the... More

Dropped in for a later dinner. This euro (Belgian-style) pub has a range of beer and decentr menu offerings. Found that the late night options (pizza, mussels, fries) was limiting but I can vouich for the pizza. The couple next to me had mussels and seemed to like them.

Menu advertises marked wines (including some offered by the glass) as being half off on Monday nights. What is not mentioned is that the discount only applies to whole bottles. It would be helpful if that were clearly stated. As it stands, it's false advertising, and poor customer service.

We went to the Mussel Bar & Grille in Bethesda for the first time last weekend. The PEI mussels (all the seafood from Prince Edward Island is always so good!) in the Mediterranean mussel dish were amazing! My husband had the brunch steak and eggs, which was the best he's ever had. On top of this, Gregory provided the best... More

I went to a work mixer during the week. Mussels were on special and definitely worth it. We had three different versions and each was unique and delicious. Our crowd of 12 took over the bar area. Service was attentive and beer selection was decent enough to placate my buddies from Germany and the UK. And that isn't usually an... More

It's been a while since I've been back to Mussel bar and glad I came back. The salad was delicious and fresh, their Mediterranean mussels with goat cheese and sausage were solid, and the light dessert was a good way to end the meal. Their hand cut fries and rustic bread for soaking up broth were yummy. I've had better... More

Enjoy happy hour as well as Gatherings after work or early evenings. Between the muscles and all of the other appetizers we never even get to the entrees. The Mussel Bar & Grille typically has four to six different types of oysters that can be eaten raw. Couple this with one of the multitude of years they have on their... More

. . . but today, I've opted for Steak Frites. I come here once a month when I'm home and I'm always satisfied with the food. Music is a bit too loud for my taste but what else is new; that's the case almost everywhere these days.

Mussels prepared lots of different ways, the two ways we had them were both very tasty. They have a really nice selection of beers including Belgian Lambics. It's a nice casual place. Great to go with family or a group of friends. The only issue I had was that it's a lively, noisy crowd, so it can be a little... More

A warm evening out for dinner, but not a typical dinner outing. We decided to hop from one restaurant to the next...& to order only our favorites' appetizers. So here we were at one of the best place for mussels in Bethesda! A pan order of the white wine & garlic mussels along with a side of their classic frites.... More
