We were traveling back home (via I-95N) and were looking for a place to eat (non-fast-food). We recognized the Houlihan's name and though we hadn't dined in one in years, gave it a chance. The place was very nice and well maintained. Our server (Matthew) was very friendly and accommodating and another person (I can't remember her name) helped out... More
We've eaten here before but were a bit disappointed this time. My husband enjoyed his grilled shrimp and I like the side of brussel sprouts. However, the cheese on the chicken nachos tasted like ersatz cheese and the burger seemed to be from a frozen patty. The bag of warm donuts for dessert was delicious though!
I went here with out of town family who were staying nearby. The restaurant had some good reviews, so I thought it would be a good place to try. We were seated almost immediately and waitress was attentive and knowledgeable of the beer selection. He suggestion for one of the guests was spot on. The calamari appetizer was nice and... More
My wife and I decided to try Houlihan's once more after walking out a couple months ago, after it was too loud to stay. Seems someone must have listened to my complaint on Tripadvisor and turned the music coming through the speakers down to a reasonable level. Anyway, We ordered a Margarita, a Chicken Tortilla soup, a Steak and Wedge... More
This is an overpriced, overrated place. food is a joke. not worthy to spend a buck at this place. Service was good but it does not complement the kind of food served here. Stay away.
This was my first time back in a while. This is a great location that has always been accommodating to my group. The service is attentive and appropriate. The cocktails for a chain restaurant are creative and of good quality. Overall, this is our "cheers" of the Columbia area.
My wife and I decided to try this place and walked in and asked for a quiet booth. The music being played through the speakers was registering 65 to 75 decibels. A normal conversation is at 60 decibels. When our server walked up to ask what we wanted to drink, we said we were deciding whether we were staying because... More
We've gone here twice in the past 3 months for big groups. The first time was with about 14 people. The server was attentive, got everything right, and kept the refills coming. Everyone got a variety of food and was very pleased. Many have never experienced a Houlihan's and really liked it. Well, last night we went and our server... More
The chicken lettuce wraps were pretty good and the Parmesan frites were good. The customer service was very good. The steak was not good. It had a strange flavor and was not seasoned well. The tortilla soup tastes like vegetable beef soup. My husband loved his butternut squash lasagna. The Brentwood chicken sandwich was OK.
