What a hidden gem! I’m shocked I’ve never heard of this place until recently—upon pulling up into the small parking lot, I was skeptical because it looked like it could be a hole in the wall type of place but once you enter inside, it’s...totally fine, just a small casual restaurant. Food was really good! Highly recommend the Hong Kong Style Sole Fillet, Walnut Shrimp, and Deep Fried Spicy Salted Tofu! The Hot & Sour Soup and Chinese Broccoli Stir Fried with Garlic were good too. However, wasn’t a huge fan of the Seafood Pan Fried Noodle—it was bland and lacked flavor and was drenched in the sauce which made the noodles really soggy. Food portions and prices are pretty reasonable—will definitely come back to try their other dishes.More

We have tried carry out from Noodle King twice during the pandemic. Unfortunately both times, the entrees were quite disappointing. The hot and sour soup was flavorful, but the vegetarian entrees we ordered (one tofu and one noodle dish) had no flavor. Really bland.

I would give this a 3.5--solid, good food, but nothing we got was "wow" (Singapore noodles and Kwan Teu--liked this one the best). They were both supposed to be spicy, but weren't. There was a soy sauce with peppers to add, but it was very...salty. I would try again with different dishes.More

This is an authentic tasting restaurant with reasonable prices. We ordered some specialty item fried foods and a pan fried noodle dish which were delicious. This was my first time eating there so was not aware that they provided a complimentary dessert on Saturdays. The...servers did not seem overly helpful even when asked basic questions about the dishes. The interior of the restaurant was presentable. I think better service would have made the eating experience much better.More

This restaurant is in a residents area by a busy street close to federal research facility. The food is good but on the sweet side. The portion is OK. Price is reasonable. If you like southern Chinese food, this could be a good choice for...you.More

This is a surprisingly good restaurant - with great noodles (of course!) and Roast Pork (Cha Siu) and Cantonese Roast Duck. We had the crispy salt and pepper fried tofu and it was delicious!

my husband and I went into this tiny restaurant as a joke to try something new. The place is not a looker from the outside and you could quite well drive by it thinking it looks questionable. However inside it is very homey and has...a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The hostess or she could have been the owner seated us right away, served us fresh ice water and hot tea. We took a bit of time just looking over the menu and looking at what others were eating to get an idea of what we might like to get. It took about 20 minutes for our order to show up. We at General TSO chicken and Beef cubes French way. Also we order spring rolls, chicken rolls and wanton soup. The rolls and the soup were the first items served. They were hot and tasted authentic. I was a bit disappointed with the wanton soup. It was just broth and two wantons. I wish there could have been some greens or sprouts with it. But then I am not sure if it would have been wanton soup or not. My previous experience with wanton soup included green onions and sprouts. Out main dishes arrives shortly after and they were delicious. Nice and hot and fresh. The steamed rice was served on the side. The portions were nice and we ended up taking some food home. At the end of our meal we got a nice treat of warm tapioca pudding served with peach chunks. It was a welcomed addition to our meal and it was given to us complimentary to enhance our dinning experience. Overall the server worked fast and efficient and we really enjoyed this little hidden restaurant.More

Best Chinrse and Hong Kong eatery in Montgomery County. Maybe in Maryland! Superbly preoared noodke dishes, Peking duck, veggie dishes and more. A hidden gem on New Hampshire Avenue.

Another one of those hole in the wall, family owned chinese restaurants that serves absolutely delicious and moderately priced food. We have been there about 10 times over the past year and they have never failed us with portion size and quality of the items....We have ordered Peking Duck, Salted fish pork, Snow pea leaves, deep fried spicy squid, chicken chow mein panned fried, and many other cantonese staples. Always good, always plenty to take home. Look for specials on the board when you are ordering. Small lot in back next to the beer and wine.More

I'd heard good things about Noodle King from some friends who are fans of this spot, and I was not disappointed when I went there for lunch today with two friends. I loved the fresh pots of flowers outside the restaurant and it was also...great to see a sign proclaiming 'One of America's Top 100 Chinese Restaurants' on the door as we walked in. We were shown to seats immediately and quickly had our first order - steamed meat dumplings - delivered to our table. We also ordered fried tofu, Singapore Noodles, and Shrimp and Cashews. Portions are plentiful and we enjoyed our meal a great deal. The restaurant was quick to accommodate our need to eliminated green peppers - one of us cannot eat them. We will return!More

Not feeling so great in this cold and windy weather, but went to a going-away lunch for a colleague at Noodle King anyway. I can't believe that I have lived in this area for 16 years, driven past the restaurant twice a day on my...way to/from work, and have never eaten here! Was pleasantly surprised to see they offered congee (rice porridge) on the menu, along with Hong Kong style beef and noodle soup or roast duck noodle soup. I had congee with minced beef and scallions for lunch, and it was like a big, warm hug in a bowl. I also tried the steamed pork dumplings which were very good, although the dipping sauce tasted mostly of soy and sugar with no sesame oil or ginger notes. Our group also ordered beef and broccoli, kung pao and General Tso's chicken, eggplant with hot and spicy garlic sauce, and the Singapore noodle dish which the others all said were very tasty, and very good. Now that I know what Noodle King has to offer, I will probably be stopping by once a week for takeout on my way home from work. I just can't believe that I waited this long to try them!More

We just recently started getting carry out from Noodle King and we really like it. They have an extensive menu, pretty much what you expect from a Chinese restaurant and everything we have tried is very good. Portions are generous and prices are very reasonable....There is a dining area but we carry out.More

Noodle King's location is next to a sketchy liquor store in a small entry road off of New Hampshire Ave - you would miss it if you're not paying attention. But don't let its appearance scare you. They have one of the best tasting authentic...chinese dishes in the area. Try the Fish Fillet hongkong style, singapore noodles or hongkong noodle soup. Bon appetit!More
