This was our first trip and very disappointing. Our server greeted us without a wine list or specials, both of which he had to retrieve separately. By itself, these are not a big deal, but it should have been an indication of things to come....More

Return trip to this historic gem of a building which has maintained its ambience. Seasonal menu varies and we were fortunate to have excellent salmon, pork and chicken entrees topped off by real creme brûlée. Wait staff attentive knowledgeable but unobtrusive. A bit expensive but...More

This was my second visit to Milton Inn. Atmosphere is cozy with small rooms in the stone building. It was decorated for the Christmas season. Our waiter, William, was outstanding. He was very familiar with the menu and specials. He made a few suggestions, but...More

Have eaten at the Milton Inn numerous times, but never had Thanksgiving Dinner there. Besides the fact that it is perfect for a traditional holiday meal, the meal itself was superb. Everything you would expect for a Thanksgiving Feast. It was all there, turkey, stuffing,...More

Fabulous Inn serving lunch and dinner in the rolling countryside north of Baltimore. Well worth a drive if you are visiting Baltimore. The bar is intimate and cozy. We had crab cakes and liver and bacon, slightly overdone but tender. Overall delicious. I look forward...More

Trading on name only. Sparse menu, unimaginative, over priced. People go here, just to say they went here, otherwise it's a waste of time and money.

Can't beat the charming setting for a romantic or special meal. We shared beet carpaccio and chilled watermelon soup to start, then swordfish and tuna for entrees. My companion said it was the best meal he'd ever had. We'd eat here often if we could...More

Went to Milton for a birthday celebration. This is definitely a special occasion place. The food and preparation was excellent - creative interpretations of classic such as shrimp and grits and rack of lamb. I loved my teriyaki-style salmon. Asparagus soup was very good as...More

It is believed that construction of the Inn began in 1740 and it has grown and changed over the years to become one of the premier country dining spots in the United States. The tradition of excellence has continued to grow under the current ownership Milton Fare Inc, who purchased the business in 1997. Executive Chef/Owner Brian Boston was named Chef of the Year by the Restaurant Association of Maryland in 2011.Chef Boston has also received many other awards including The Five Star Diamond Award by The Academy of Hospitality Sciences , The DiRoNA Award, and top ratings from Zagat. The Milton was named The Best restaurant in the Counties by The Baltimore Sun . Over the years , the Inn has engendered a legacy of romance and numerous couples have become engaged in its candlelit dining rooms and open air garden terrace. Many return year after year to celebrate!
