Looking for a cozy ramen shop with the feel of northern Japan? Look no farther than Wheaton Maryland. Ren's ramen shop is an intimate little step into northern Japan with hearty and flavorful ramen. The noodles are shipped directly from Sapporo Japan and are divine. The broth hearty and tasteful. The miso tan tan men is delicious. The gyoza is... More

We had Chanpon-men, Tan-Tan men & Staminia Ramen. The broth based is solid full taste! Chanpon-men is light broth but full of shrimp, squid, crab cake and tons of vegi. Tan-Tan, is favorable with sesame and peanut sauce not too spicy. Staminia by far is the best favor broth. Must come before 1 pm to avoid lunch rush long wait.

Cute Japanese Ramen restaurant, which specializes in Ramens from the Sapporo in Hokkaido (the North island of Japan). Not terribly spicy, but most Japanese food isn't. Disadvantages are they are not always open in the middle of the afternoon and they are cash only. Nevertheless, I would recommend Ren's Ramen to anyone who enjoys Japanese cuisine.

Miso sopporo is my "go to" and it is delicious. I get it with the cabbage add-on. Other add-ons are corn, extra meat, egg, and more. CASH ONLY. Best ramen I have had.

Ren's Ramen is a small place with minimal decor and a small parking lot, but there is street parking, too. It's not a hipster haunt like many of the DC ramen places, with the benefit of no waiting and music at a low volume. Beverage options are limited to sodas, bottled green tea and Ramune, the Japanese soda with the... More

My husband really liked the meat version, but I thought the broth for the vegetarian version tasted a bit funny. I'll stick with Daikaya downtown for now, I guess!

Ren's is not a fancy place but you can get really good ramen. They have a few basic ramens and some specials they write on the board. I am vegan and I wasn't disappointed. The salty ramen with veggies was very flavorful. My husband had the miso with pork and loved it. I will be back. They close after lunch... More

Ramen here is decent overall, good broth and noodles though the cha-su I felt could have been alittle more flavorful. I've tried all broths and personally I feel the spicy miso packs the most flavor. Only gripe bout this place is the limited parking and cash only.... who uses just cash anymore...? All toppings and sides were good additions.

A decent neighborhood place. We had the miso ramen. Portions were huge. Broth was OK - I found myself adding a lot of togarashi, which tells me I thought it needed something. At the same time, I couldn't stop eating it. The place wasn't very busy when we went (7 pm in the middle of the week), and the service... More

My mom (Japanese) is picky when it comes to ramen, but she claims this is the best she's had in the nation, and yes we've been to NY! The fried rice also tasted like the one we loved at a restaurant called Chinrai in Japan. The only bad thing I have to say is that a girl that worked there... More
