Although this is the ONLY game in town, it is nevertheless, a delight. We stop here whenever we're passing through on the towpath. Great homemade soups and sandwiches, comfy environment, vegan options!

Great place to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner. They have a lot of health alternatives. The owners are friendly and service excellent.

Four of us ate here when we rode the C & O Towpath. This is one of maybe three restaurants close to the towpath. The front of this business offers snack items for sale and the restaurant is at the back. They offer a wide selection of Signature and Vegetarian sandwiches along with salads, soups and some breakfast items. Fun... More

Stopped here for lunch while on bike trip from Pittsburgh to DC. Owner's a delight, as are all the staff. We visit this charming little restaurant every time we pass thru while cycling the C & O. Bike racks out front, air pumps, and when its time to leave they fill your bottles with ICE cold water. The food is... More

stopped here for lunch while on bike ride from Pitt to DC. It was a hot day and it was steep uphill to get to Desert Rose but it was nice place with good, reasonably priced food. And they filled our water bottles with ice water!

Great little place. I stop for an early supper on the way from the C&O up to the motel. Hint, go over to the ice cream shop on the other corner(same owner) so you can have dessert first.

Great breakfast and pastries. Nice selection of gluten free items and they even make oatmeal to order. Excellent coffee. They cater to cyclists by having bike pumps, tubes, water bottle fills, etc.

Desert Rose! Yes, that's her given name. She describes her parents as "hippies", When she was born - in the desert - her parents chose her name: "Desert Rose". She's a delight, as are all the staff. We residents of Williamsport visit this charming little restaurant frequently. And it is a "must" for out-of-town visitors. It's very popular with serious... More

The town bike shop may have closed, but the desert rose saves the day, and provides some great sandwiches to comfort you while you fix your bike issues. So grateful for their tire tubes and full sized bike pump after I punctured a tire on the c&o!
