My husband and I used YELP, really narrowed down our search to find the best seafood place in the area. We were led here. But honestly, we wouldn't go back. Their clam chowder was voted the best on the Cape. NOPE! Too thick, not enough...More

Stopped by late in the season (October) for a lunch. The location is right on the (small) Barnstable harbor so you can see boats. Some tables along the windows, others are further back. This can be a very busy place in season. Reservations are really...More

We stumbled across Barnstable on a day spent exploring Cape Cod. We dropped off the 6A and were delighted to find Mattakeese Wharf. We decided to splash out on the lobster roll and fried scallops. The portions were generous and they were both very enjoyable....More

8 of us had dinner last night. It was very good. Beautiful location. My sister and I had the lobster risotto. It was good but not as good as Bobby Burnes restaurant used to make. The homemade potato chips were delicious. Very good waitress.

Found this place by accident looking for seafood. Great location to watch small boats coming and going. The service was food and friendly. The chowder was one of the best we've had. The lobster roll was over flowing with meat. The cole slaw was creamy...More

I went here to get a bite to eat after going on a whale watching expedition. It was off season, and just a few days before they were going to close for the winter, so they weren't very busy, but the device and food were...More

This restaurant was recommended to us by the proprietors at the B&B where we are staying. The sunset was lovely. The pepper mill was approximately 3 feet long and made everyone smile. The server offered and cracked pepper to a table of 5 without moving...More

Had a brunch last Sunday with my husband but this restaurant is good for lunch and dinner all the time. Wonderful views, atmosphere, and the food well varied, prepared, plentiful, and excellent. We come here whenever on Cape and never disappointed! You won't be either.

We had lunch here and enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. The oysters were fresh, the lobster roll was delicious, the clam chowder was thick and creamy, scallops were cooked to perfection. I would have preferred the scallops pan seared rather than fried, but they...More

Following our whale watch we stopped in for dinner. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the marina views and lovely late afternoon weather. We had a couple of adult Arnold Palmers to unwind and enjoy the view since we were there on a...More

There is no outside patio, it is an enclosed porch overlooking the water. Not sure about dogs; have never seen any there. However, if it is a certified service dog I do not think they can refuse. Suggest you call the... More

Description
Mattakeese Wharf is a SEASONAL (May to October) waterfront restaurant on Cape Cod, MA since 1968. We serve fresh, local seafood including lobsters, steaks, chicken, and some Italian specialties. There is no better romantic sunset view while dining on the Cape than here at Mattakeese Wharf. See the sunset slideshow on our website with many photos contributed by diners. We are open late April through mid October. Mattakeese Wharf is located next to a whale watching boat so we are a natural destination after your day on the water with the whales. We offer a full bar and live entertainment during the summer season... a great place to watch the Sox games! We serve lunch and dinner 7 days a week plus Brunch on Sundays. We are open from 11:30am until 9 in the evening. Check our website for info!
