We had a great evening here. The restaurant itself is lovely: nicely furnished and very comfortable. The service was excellent and waitress very friendly. And the food was delicious: I had a really superb lobster roll here. Would recommend.

The food was good but the service was less than satisfactory. We had dinner the night we stayed at the Inn and got seated immediately. The hostess filled our water and then we sat unattended for at least a half hour before our server came...More

Been going for years, very nice spot, food was very good but they need to work on the staff....understanding service. Waited and waited and waited for someone to come to our table, not very busy. Took drink order, waited another 12 - 15 minutes for...More

Hello, If you would give me some information about which day you were at the Inn I will gladly look into the reason why you waited so long for the service. Usually if the host seats you, she or he, will carry menus to the...More

The ambiance, the food and the bar were very good. The only concern we had was that it seemed to take a long time for the food to be served and the service was ok but slow, and needed prompting.More

Hi, Thanks for the review. Sorry about the wait, sometimes its the time of year and the amount of guests that come in all at once. This last couple of weeks we saw parents weekend from two of the local schools in town here at...More

Setting is charming...but the service staff was inattentive and indifferent. Ordered the special prime rib which arrived only slightly warmer than room temp as did the somewhat undercooked backed potato. The meat was not tender nor particularly well prepared. Overall experience was not close to...More

This beautiful inn has a restaurant I remembered, in the past, as being an exceptional experience - not so now. Sadly, the staff was indifferent and slow. The food was average with above average pricing. We were greeted with "Hey Guys" (and no smile). No...More

What time do you close your bar? We were in around 8:45 p. m. and told the evening was slow, and in the processes of closing, (not a warm welcome). This has happened to us twice before in the past 3 months. Each time we...More

We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed everything at the Inn when you dined here. The beer selection changes frequently and we are working on the late fall winter menu.

We had a buffet dinner in private dinner room on terrace level. The food was good. Beef tips, salmon, rice and veggies with Indian pudding for dessert.

Call the Inn, they do special things now and then and they 'were' having oyster Wednesdays.

I recall a solid response to GF items. Not an extensive menu, but more than sufficient.

I would call them and ask to speak with the person you tried to message. Sounds like they want to work with you to make up for their oversight. Good luck!

Description
Come and gather at a New England table! Our seasonally driven menus are a reflection of the rural landscape and come and go as the harvest is available. We celebrate our area farmers, foragers, and growers in our menus. Of twelve draught beers, six are always local. We cook from scratch, and source as locally as we can. A warm, friendly, local gathering place with food and drink at the center of the experience.
