Were shopping in the area and saw this place. We got a sub plus a couple of lobster tail pastries . All were great. Wish I could find subs that good at home. Nice staff and fast service.

Went with my sons on a brief visit to Gloucester. Decided we'd go with whatever the employees recommended. Had Nor'ender sandwich and Chicken St Joseph, plus lobster tail pastry and eclairs for dessert. Including drinks (they have Moxie soda) it was $32 for 3 (now very stuffed) people. And just about the best lunch we ever had. Don't miss it!!

When I was a child this store was run by "Old Man Virgilio" and his wife, "The Old Lady" as they were referred to by my mother and aunts. To us kids, they were Mr. and Mrs. Virgilio. We shopped in that tiny store nearly every day buying pasta, vegetables, cold cuts, bread and more. In warm weather, Mr. Virgilio... More

Virgilios is where you go for fantastic deli sandwiches. My favorite is the St. Joseph's. They also have great cannollis. Their Italian sauce is delicious and daily fresh breads to die for! Anything you want at a deli is there for your enjoyment.

We loved this old-fashioned Italian deli-bakery. The subs were great and we splurged and had pastries as well, which were delicious!

We were walking in town and decided we needed something sweet. Both being of Italian descent we decided to stop at Virgilios. A great decision on our part. We ate an amazing sfogliatelle. I mean crunchy outside, soft creamy inside, baked to perfection. They have other food items like hero sandwiches, other pastry, but if I ever returned to Gloucester... More

Quick. Delicious. Simple. We needed something like this for a lunch before going out on the water. I got a "West Ender" that had proscuitto, roasted red peppers, cheese on ciabatta and it was delicious. My son got a sausage parm sandwich and devoured it. The little place also has a small but excellent selection of fresh pastries, Italian groceries,... More

Virgilio's is always a must when we visit Gloucester. If we are doing an afternoon whale watch we usually stop by before to grab sandwiches to take on the boat. Otherwise, we stop here after for lunch. The bread is amazing! Being a south jersey girl and living close to Philadelphia, I know a good roll and a sandwich isn't... More
