About
The Gloucester House restaurant is renowned for its local lobster dishes and for the freshest North Atlantic seafood, prepared to perfection. Having been among the first to popularize fried calamari, our specialties range from award-winning clam chowder to homemade bread and cornbread, from Dottie's bourbon cake to Lily's wine list, and from Sambuca mussels to blackened haddock tacos to a fried fisherman's reuben sandwich. We always cook to order and have gluten free and vegetarian menus available, as well as children's meals. Dine full-service on our outdoor, dockside deck or eat lobsters in-the-rough on our harbor side wharf. Located on historic Seven Seas Wharf, there's something for everyone

We stopped here for lunch and sat at the bar. My partner had the Chicken Wing app and I the New England Clam Chowder and Clams Casino-a special that day. We were offered fresh cornbread which was moist and set the tone for our lunch....More

We ate at the Gloucester House twice during our recent trip to Cape Ann. The staff was very accommodating and the menu offered a variety of options. The atmosphere was quiet allowing for conservation without having to raise your voice to be heard. There are...More

Food nothing to write home about. Thought the prices were high for just average food. Complimentary cornbread was good. Tables each had beautiful flowers that looked artificial but were fresh flowers.

WAY Overpriced and marginal food. Never heard of a place that serves steamers and does NOT have bread. Cornbread yes, but no white bad for you bread. Lobster pie was a the skimpiest I’ve ever seen and priced at $35.00 and again, only marginal. Steamers...More
