Afternoon in Hyannis walking down Main Street before the crowds overtake the area's charm. Although many shops and restaurants remain closed while preparing for the upcoming season there were many that were open. If you have your heart set on any of the areas favorites I recommend checking before heading out. Walked into Colombo's and enjoyed a good authentic Italian... More

Upon our family's return to Hyannis, we had to go back to Colombo s for dinner. We were greeted at the door warmly, and it got better from there. Dave, our waiter was friendly, funny and knowledgeable of each dish. Caseon, the other waiter ,was equally up to the task . As for the food, the scallop app wrap in in bacon... More

On the recommendation of a resident we dined at Colombo's. Also as he suggested we both enjoyed risotto withj chicken and sausage ($19). We added an order of mussles to share ($13). The food was ample enough for us to take home half for another mealnn. Our friend r treated us to desserts of cannoli and carot cake. On a... More

The food here is DELICIOUS. Unfortunately the dessert case glows like an orb in the evenings making it uncomfortable for your eyes. Management really needs to dim the dessert case lights or invest in a shade to prevent diners from being blinded from it. It causes the whole restaurant to glow and detracts from the nice dining room atmosphere. I... More

We've eaten at Colombo's several times and the experience has always been enjoyable. This evening we had Sole Piccata and Veal Saltimbocca. Both dishes were outstanding, except the risotto served as a side to both plates was overcooked. We were thinking of having a dessert but the gelato had already been put away or had run out.

My husband and another couple had Valentine's Day dinner. I had clam chowder with no discernible clams and calamari marinara that tasted dull and heavy. No bright seafood taste! The other three loved their choices, licked their plates clean. Maybe I made bad choices. Our waitress was friendly, attentive. The place was alive with happy smiling people. We will give... More

I went for a casual lunch with friends and walked out very impressed! I tried the Sole Piccata served with risotto and asparagus. Very very delicious!

We stumbled into Colombo's after striking out at our first three choices - what a great discovery! It's a big place, and a popular watering hole, but the food is excellent, for a fair price. We've driven down to Hyannis from Plymouth twice more because the food is so good, and we'll be back. The fish is always fresh and... More

They have the awful green neon light over the flourescent lighted pastry case. Makes their dinner food look like dog food. Green does not shine well on a red sauce, folks. And it is in the eyeline of most tables in the place so good luck getting away from it. Not a good date spot for this reason. Spot is... More

I was so excited to eat here today. I order sirloin tips. I barely could eat them. The meat was gross and chewy. I let the waitress know. There was no offer for a new entree or any money removed from the bill. I had a gift cert too for $25 that they wouldn't honor bc it was expired by... More

Description
The name "Colombo" is the Italian form of "Colomba" the latin word for "dove", which is the "Bird of Peace". It is in the spirit of peace that friends and family gather to celebrate the everyday occurrences that touch our lives. Great food, drink and conversations are the cornerstones for the sharing of these convivial, day-to-day passions. Colombo's Cafe & Pastries stands for the beloved concept born in Italy of the "gathering place"... Truly a place that "welcomes everyone, everyday... At any time" translating as "Benvenuti a tutti" in Italian, whereby the tried and true, centuries-old tradition of "all are welcome" prevails.Open seven days a week, year round, from 11:30am for lunch and dinner.
