We were on CAPE for an appointment. Family lives in AZ so we remembered the special for $9.95 to get our fix of Mexican. Not disappointed. The Cowboy Platter with ribs was Very Good as was the Zorro Platter. Our server Irena was efficient and attentive so appreciated. I must say, it is a lot of food but having leftovers... More

Stopped for lunch with wife and son and sat in bar area to watch Celtics game. Hostess promptly sat us and acknowledged by waitress immediately. Enjoyed some Sunday specials and there was more than enough to fill us for the rest of the day. Nice meal, good price and nice atmosphere. Hadn't been for a few years but we left... More

Quick lunch, food was better than average, drinks were very good. Late afternoon stop in so it was pretty empty, food still took a while to come out, they were quick to offer more drinks and chips.

My most recent visit to Sam Diego's was with my niece who is ten. (Incidentally, Sam Diego's became one of my favorite Cape Cod destinations when her oldest sister was only two). The kids meal selection is great- lots of choices. The salsa is not too spicy and the chips are plentiful. I had the chicken fajita quesadilla which was... More

Stopped in for a quick bite and had the lunch taco bar special. Our bartender Michelle was awesome. Even with the teeniest, tiniest little 1800 coconut rum taste.

On a spur of the moment car trip from our home in Connecticut to the Cape, my husband and I stopped at Sam Diego's Mexican Cookery & Bar located on Route 132, Hyannis, Massachusetts. This time of year, spring break, pre-tourist season, a large majority of the Cape restaurants are still closed. Not having a whole lot of choices, we... More

We had a party of 16. The service was terrific and the food came out hot and to everyone's liking. Kudos to the chef and staff. We had a variety of selections from the menu and everyone enjoyed their meal. They have a lot of margaritas to choose from as well

Being a native Texan, I am accustomed to slightly different flavoring and presentation in a Mexican restaurant. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed not only the atmosphere, service, and margaritas; but also, my dinner! In addition to my dinner, I ordered the chicken tamale that they offer. Unfortunately, as in every other Mexican restaurant in New England that I have tried... More

This is a large place with multiple bars and dining rooms. The food is good, if unimaginative. It's just tortillas stuffed with your choice of fillings, but it's done well. My wife loved her margarita with toasted coconut on the rim. Our server was helpful and timely.

We like this place....lunch or dinner...it works! It could be a little cleaner and a little more friendly to people who are not regulars.
