The food is fresh, they serve fats, you get to choose between sitting inside, outside with a view to the port and the lighthouse, or in the restaurant. We started going to Baxter's quite a few years ago, when they also had an extension on a decommissioned boat - there are pictures of that inside. Totally worth a visit!

This is the place for great seafood. Done out on the wharf. In fact, the entire restaurant is built over the water. It started in 1919, as a fish packing house and has evolved into the present day restaurant. President Kennedy used to get his fish at Baxters.

We took a morning Hyannis harbor cruise and then went for lunch at Baxter. We ate indoors, but there is outdoor seating. I had the seafood platter. The service was prompt and friendly and the food was good. I would go again.

We come to the cape every year and Baxters is always on our agenda. We order the smelt and eat on the deck by the water. The staff is friendly, the prices reasonable and the food delicious!

Can't believe that they call this the best fish and chips. The coating was so dry and not a proper batter. The fish was so over cooked that it fell off your fork when trying to eat it. Fish had no flavour at all could have been eating anything! And to top it all 2 fish and chips cost $38... More
