We stumbled onto Frankie's while visiting Lenox because it is open on Monday nights. What a find! The chicken Piccata was fabulous, served with haricot vert and a delightful ricotta potato gratin instead of the ubiquitous pasta. Sunday through Thursday Frankie's offers a three course...More

We took a chance on this little restaurant on the Main St. in Lenox,Mass. The red checkered tablecloths & pleasant greeters were welcoming. The place looks small upon entering, but, there is plenty of room in the back. We had a jovial waiter. The food was...More

We were really hopeful for a great experience. The bartender was super friendly and the hostess was great. Our waitress on the other hand was anything but helpful. We asked for recommendations on the menu, and got one word answers. The worst part of the...More

If you like Italian food, do not go to Frankie's. The marsala was made with Worcestershire and soy sauce. The marinara tasted like canned tomato paste with sugar and salt. Come on! I don't understand how they could get it so wrong and still stay...More

Hi Tom, I thought we had discussed this issue together. When I came to ask how everything was you told me your thoughts on our marsala. Perhaps it wasn't your taste, but I assured you that we have never made our Marsala sauce with Worcestershire...More

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
This review really stopped me in my tracks and I'm completely puzzled by it. While it's normal for restaurants to have their 'off' nights, my girlfriend and I routinely make the drive from upstate New York to have dinner at Frankie's. We have always found the quality of the food to be superior and consistent. And their service is attentive. The mandolin-sliced au gratin potatoes are some of the finest I've ever tasted. The deep-fried zucchini (Zucchini Fritti) is a creative and delicious appetizer. Meatballs are soft, flavorful, and memorable; and their Marinara is fresh and simple. All entrees are served with a nouveau flair but with old-world flavors and recipes. I'm a trained chef and restaurant consultant and tend to be a tough customer. I feel this one-star review by Tom M. is unfounded and has other motives behind it. I've been dining at Frankie's since they opened and have always had a delicious meal every time. I know from personal experience how much work it takes for a restaurant to get it right on a regular basis. I can't say that about many places. Keep up the great work, Frankie's. Ci Vediamo Presto!
