You've got to love the quaint charm, comfortable atmosphere and overall consistent fare at the Inn, however our most recent visit was an evening of highs and lows. Always fun to sit on the lounge side for a more lively atmosphere, we had a reservation for 6:30 for 4. Great hostess and wait staff but could somebody please turn down,... More

The kind of place you want to return to often. Warm, inviting atmosphere at this historic seaside restaurant, bar and inn. Seasonal menus, excellent live entertainment, crackling fireplace during the winter and porch dining during the warmer months. A must to visit!

I have been going to this place in several different incarnations since the 1950's. I would say it is at the top of its game presently. Have visited the restaurant several times since the summer even though I now live in NJ. Ambitious menu for this part of the world, but they pull it off well. All the seafood is... More

What a great place! Whether a date night or with friends! I frequent this place a lot & it's always a fun time! The food, drinks & services have always been an A+. The Mattapoisett harbor is right across the street & there's a screened in front porch to sit on top take in the sunset or an afternoon breeze.... More

We took tripadvisor's recommendation and decided that The Inn on Shipyard Park. We both ordered fish and chips. Of course a cocktail to start off our meal. We eadh got sizable piece of fish accompanied with fries, coleslaw and tartar sauce. The meal was delicious. This is an old building with lots of colonial charm. My wife said we will... More

Spent a lovely fall afternoon on the porch enjoying a tasteful lunch. Our mussels, ruben cuban and pasta were yummy and hit the spot. The home made chips crispy and perfect. Our waitress, Allie, was cheerful and attentive which always adds to a satisfying lunch out.

A group of six ate there for lunch. One had the lobster roll and was very happy. One had a burger and seemed to enjoy it. One had a cobb salad with a generous proportion and ate very little. Two had the haddock special - one finding it inedible and the other picking through it. I had the baked scallops,... More

used to flow in pints. Odd decrease in volume and quality of ales under new ownership, who, to their credit, don't seem to drink or know a good craft ale--except by raising the price.

My husband and I stopped in at the bar after a day of touring New Bedford and Fairhaven. There were a few seats on the porch but my husband preferred to sit at the bar in the air conditioning. The bartender was very prompt with the drinks and very friendly even tho she was running back and forth from the... More
