This was my first time at this restaurant. I've always wanted to try it but the time never came until now. The Restaurant is easy to find but driveway up to it is a little bumpy so drive careful and slow. The outside is rustic looking and the inside matches. It has a beautiful warm feel. I love the wooden... More

So you don't have to be in Boston or Providence to experience world-class cuisine. Yes, even in rural north western Massachusetts there exists a gem of a French restaurant with friendly, attentive service, an deceptively rustic setting and food the equal of any in highly regarded urban environments. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. The Prix-fix menu... More

We have dined at Mill on the Floss for a number of special occasions and have always been delighted. The ambiance is cozy and nurturing. The cuisine is excellent French country. This is an opportunity to move beyond the mundane to focus and savor good food and good company in a very special place.

Mill On The Floss is what every fine restaurant should be... beautiful, warm and inviting, impeccable hospitality, and of course amazing and interesting food prepared with great care and pride. We visited as a group of six on a cold winter night (the stars from the parking lot were amazing to us Floridians who see so few of them.) We... More

We only wish we had come here at the beginning of our vacation - we would have returned - it was that good. A little pricy but worth it- the food was superb- the ambience was wonderful and our waitress, Jane, was attentive without being intrusive and very knowledgeable. I had the grilled salmon which was excellent - the vegetables... More

We have been familiar with The Mill on the Floss for decades but had never eaten there. Recently two people recommended it to us. We went for dinner one week night and had the whole place to ourselves. A quiet table between the fireplace and the bay window could not have been better. The menu has a good variety with... More

Despite the difficulty of the driveway, which would be appropriate for a 4 wheel drive vehicle, we had a pleasant time at this historic restaurant. Our corn crab chowder was rich, hot, and tasty... the highlight of our meals. The service was friendly and personal.

I visited here a year ago almost to the day and didn't find my experience as enjoyable this visit as before. Can't complain about the ambience. But the overall experience doesn't justify the crazy prices... For instance. The $15 Escargot...was truly the most bland I maybe ever had. The $35 Tornedo, while 'good' it wasn't GREAT and the portion was... More

What a great find! Spent our anniversary there and loved the atmosphere, the drinks, and food! Can't wait to share our find with friends....looking forward to colder weather to enjoy the fireplace! Waitress was spot on and very thoughtful to bring us our dessert with a candle to celebrate our night! Thank you!

We try to visit the Mill on the Floss every time we are in the Williamstown area and it never disappoints. It’s definitely worth the extra drive down Route 7. The food is always perfectly prepared and the service impeccable. Our most recent visit this summer was no different and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend dining here. We particularly recommend...
