Small and sleek, Brine is casual and comfortable. The focus of the restaurant is fresh (and raw) fish and seafood, including crudo. Everything is freshly prepared, but the wait between courses is appropriate. Everyone in our party really enjoyed each dish, particularly the arctic char...More

I had lunch with a friend at Brine. The food was very good but the portions were super small and expensive ($15 for a small appetizer, $20 for a main plate of fish tacos, and $11 for carrot cake). The tacos were supposed to be...More

Food was excellent, but overpriced for what you get. We are talking Newburyport not Manhattan. Had the clam/pork chowder excellent taste, no clams. Had the sausage, two bite size pieces, this entree needs to move to the small plate section of the menu. Here is...More

We really enjoyed a delicious meal at Brine. It’s a small place so do make a reservation. Oysters were top notch. The kitchen may have been a bit overwhelmed when we were there because the wait between appetizers and dinner was a bit long. Nonetheless,...More

Our meal had ups and downs. A lobster with caviar small plate was brilliant, though a small small plate. A caviar small plate, though was minuscule and low on taste. It also was described as being on a blini but rested instead on four pieces...More

My wife and I recently had lunch at Brine and were pretty disappointed with the experience. The food ran the gamut from average (sausage sandwich) to good (chowder) but the portions were very small/limited at their respective price points. We left the meal asking ourselves...More

The restaurant atmosphere was very nice, but difficult to find parking. We were with another couple and tried several fish dishes. However the food was fare and over priced.

Having dined here many, many times, I was very disappointed with the food the last two visits. The pretentious offerings didn’t live up to the hype. Food combinations and flavors were below average, and overpriced. Service, as always, continues to be superlative.

This is an upscale, trendy kind of restaurant. My wife started with the soup du jour which was a tomato with, to my taste fennel, but we were told it was thyme overtones. Excellent! I started with the clam and pork belly chowder, with a...More

Not sure if they are open for Thanksgiving. Does not seem to have reservations available so either full or not open would be my guess but give them a call! I am sure they would easily accommodate a vegetarian diner. They... More
