We sat outside on a lovely summer night, the terrace was spotless and the staff very attentive. The food was rich and portions satisfying. The menus was extensive with something for everyone.

The food was excellent, a step above other Indian food I've had. It's not inexpensive but worth it. Lots of vegetarian options. Staff very friendly and welcoming to visitors. The family owners were very attentive to customers. If only I lived close.
A little bit off the main street, this restaurant serves great indian food in a friendly atmosphere. I particularly recommend the tandoori lamb chops (which they do not always have) They have an extensive vegetarian menu
We went here for an early dinner. The service was very good, and the owners were attentive. The restaurant got pretty busy for dinner...but our service was never affected. The menu was extensive and is accommodating to varied needs (vegetarian, dietary restrictions, etc). Our meal was excellent. Would eat here again.
The food was ok, but my debit card was charged $677.95 cents and then voided and recharged $67.95 cents, which was what the meal cost, nothing was mentioned when the check was paided other than a copy of the voided charge. Needless to say I was down the amount above all weekend long . I was visiting Northampton for a... More
When I'm in the mood for Indian food, this is my go to restaurant. It always serves delectable food, with great specials. It is pricey, but usually worth it. The chef/owner accommodates gluten free and dairy free diets. Sometimes when I order ethnic cuisines, I have to stick to the ones I know, but not at India House. Everything consistently... More
Some of the best Indian food we've had. Especially liked the Chicken and Shrimp Balchao. It had a wonderfully pungent and spicy brown sauce with a hint of sweetness. The Chicken Tiki Masala was also excellent. Don't pass up the made to order Naan. The only negative is the very small glass of $9 wine.
I've never been to India, but I love Indian food. After leaving Northampton, I have searched for Indian food that comes close to the quality, taste and value of the India house. My search has been in vain. Luckily I still get to eat here when I visit. Great service, friendly staff. All around great experience.
India House has a bizarre reservation system. They only take a few reservations for each hour, otherwise you have to wait in line. We arrived shortly after 6 planning to go to an 8:00 concert it took us nearly an hour to get seated, when our dinner finally arrived we had practically no time to enjoy the food. That being... More
We stopped here for dinner one night when it was raining in March. The place has a great ambiance. I don't eat Indian food often at all, so it was a nice surprise. We did eat a lot of food, our bill came out to $70. the staff was fairly friendly and helpful when it came to picking out dishes.... More
