Went there at 730 pm on Xmas eve had a good 50 dollar order ready to go. They had every single light on including all window lights including the open sign. We had tried ordering Chinese but they were so busy they weren't taking any...more orders. Understood. Drove by hot dog ranch all lights off understood. Got to Angelina and every light was on including OPEN. Got excited. Woman inside was mopping or sweeping and seen me coming. Gave me a dismissive blow off with her hands. So much for the Christmas spirit. Your closed ok understand. You got all your lights on and blow me off that's another story. Do it on Christmas, Fu. I only go there like 6 times a year but every time I order at least 50 dollars worth of food. Plus a 5 dollar tip. I will never go there again. Bad way to treat a customer of 30 plus years. I went there all the time when I lived by the Berkshire Eagle. Merry Christmas indeed.More
Had the meatball submarine with chips and a water. It was very disappointing because there was too much grinder roll and tomato sauce.
Original sub as delicious as the ones I enjoyed as a child in the late 50’s. The fresh sub rolls are the best!
Best steak and cheese ever. It's not shaved steak, it's chunks. Yum. And on fresh bread. Very good counter service too.
I love a good sub, and Angelina's looks and feels like a great sub shop. The problem is that the execution is not as good as it could be. Seems the simpler the better, and their cheese steak beef or chicken) is solidly good, but...the more we experimented (I'm a big pork fan and was down right disappointed), the less we liked it.More
We discovered Angelina's in 2011. My wife and I both love subs and on a hunch stopped there. Service was great. The submarines definitely live up to our standards. We will go there again!!
Haven had very high ratings, so we went there with high expectations. The place was very crowded, and we waited about a half hour. I had a Frittata, a house specialty, and my wife had French Toast. Neither dish was worth the ratings. Breakfast is...either good or not. In this case the latter.More
When we were kids my parents used to bring us on picnic lunches at local lakes and parks on the weekends. The routine was get subs at Angelina's, ice, soda and chips from local Price Chopper and head out. On the visit I decided to...get one of my mom's old favorites, a steak n cheese grinder. The bread is always fresh and super soft, hot and fresh with the toppings that you order right on top.. same as I remember it from years ago. They have the same consistency as back in the eighties. They have a large selection of choices of grinders cold and hot to choose from. Give it a try for a lunch on the go..More
I've been going to Angelina's since it opened in the mid 50's. Every time I travel to the Albany-Pittsfield area to visit family I have to go there. My Mom loved their hot pastrami sub so I would make a special trip from 20 miles...away in NY to take her there. Since she's passed I have her favorite sandwich there in tribute. I have had many of their other subs and they are all great. The bread is like right out of the oven it is so fresh. That hot pastrami sandwich with cheese and their peppers and onions sauce is wonderful. And don't forget the Wise potato chips.More
"Parking in rear" sign is hidden by hedges, but there is room back there. Entrance is on the road side, with about four steps to get inside. Not too handicapped accessible. Inside, there are lots of little signs all over the walls and counter describing...their menu. The main menu is behind the counter, and the blackboard with available toppings is by your knees, in front of the counter. A little cabinet with available breads is about waist high, between the stations. It was a little confusing, but if you know what you want, ask, and they'll probably have it. Subs were made well, and not thrown together. Good amount of meat and toppings. Sandwiches were little pricey, and bottled drinks were $2.09 each, but it was filling. We would return if in the area again.More
We came here 2 of the 3 days were were in town for lunch. They do have a few tables to sit down and eat there but not many. The steak and cheese and a side of fries were all very good. We will be...back if we come back to the area.More
I've always loved Angelina's. It's a staple of Pittsfield. I like that they don't overload the meat, add a nice light seasoning and it tasted like home every time I go back to visit.
Got take out from West Hoosatonic street location. Bought four subs and all if the meat was frozen reheated crap. Got mushrooms on mine and they were the sour, unnatural gray crap out of a can. DO NOT EAT HERE! Wish I could get my...money back. Could get better frozen dinners at the supermarket at less than half the cost.More
While I try my best to give the small businesses any help possible, I feel that the quality of the food here is sub-par. The food tasted as if it had been sitting for awhile, and just didn't feel that it would be worth going...to again.More
