Hi, As you know I am honest in my reviews so when I tell you I was really turned off driving 3/4 miles on a terrible dirt in to get there I was like... are we going to be eating in a tent? Not very happy. Once inside it is small but really inviting. Very cozy...just very relaxing yet busy... More

This restaurant was a nice surprise as it was down a somewhat dirt road (meaning, bumpy, muddy, drive extra slow to avoid damaging your car), not near the main downtown area of Plymouth. The food was very good! Its a small building with a series of small cozy rooms with rustic decor. But the food was very fresh with baked... More

This was the worst 'dining experience' my wife and I have had in many years. Despite a cozy interior, everything about our dinner was appallingly bad. We were seated next to a table of four; clearance between our table and theirs was about three feet providing no opportunity for any privacy. Service was more than slow, we waited 30 minutes... We stopped in for lunch on a Sunday and were seated quickly despite not having a reservation. The Tavern was at capacity with three large parties and the remaining few tables of 4 and 2's. We waited so long for our burger and grilled cheese. 45 minutes to be exact. We knew the large parties were throwing the kitchen off... More

This old tavern was a horse changing station in the olden days and is located on an old dirt road. The place is charming and has a nice area outside, where you can sit around a fire pit and wait for your table. Though the service was super slow for us, I would go again- just request a different server... More

We went here for brunch on our way to the Mirbeau spa. Food was fantastic and the Bloody Mary's were A-mazing! The ambiance was warm and cozy and the epitome of a New England tavern. While the bartender was friendly and professional, the hostess and server seemed quite put off by our group. They were annoyed when we asked for... More

Very delicious food. Get the Brussels sprouts appetizer they're amazing. I had the salmon with risotto my wife and friend had steak and another had scallops. Everyone said their food was excellent. Wine was great, reasonably priced bottles. Atmosphere is lively but intimate. Waitress a little brash when we took too long to order. Overall a great evening.

The Rye Tavern is tucked away in the middle of the outside of Plymouth MA. The food is amazingly great and the charm of the experience is worth the drive. This is that country in the woods feel that you long for when trying to find the right meal to satisfy the appetite. Not much room here, but then again...... More

Been waiting a long time to try this place We tried once during last summer but without a reservation and only 6 bar seats there was no room for us. The service, drinks and menu were all very good. We went at a time when it was not busy (cold Sunday night) so noise was not an issue Considering the... More

We had dinner there last night. Service and food were great. Always something different on the menu. They also have an out side bar during the summer.
