The choices on the menu are minimal, but each dish is chosen and crafted with care. Each menu item describes the provenance, both place and date, of the recipe. They range from relatively modern back to pre-European dishes. Anyone expecting the usual "Mexican" fare served in the US is in for a surprise, and, hopefully, a taste awakening! This is... More

Amazing Oaxacan food. The spicy hot chocolate is wonderful, and all of the dishes I've tried have been unique and delicious.

Unassuming but superb dishes that are not the typical us Mexican restaurant fare. This place is probably my favorite mexican restaurant in Boston

This place is fantastic. We go with family and friends we want to impress. Every dish is a winner. The new lunch menu is a welcome addition.

Wow. Where do I start. This place is PHENOMENAL! The quesadilla appetizer is amazing, and the chicken tinga is so great. The Oaxaca chocolate is amazing and the staff is very friendly!

Colorful, clean restaurant with friendly, helpful wait staff. This is a small place with a family feel. The food is interesting, delicious and carefully prepared...presentation is wonderful. Can't go wrong!

Had a party of 9, ordered tamales, sopes and longaniza for appetizers. All of them were incredibly well made, spiced, and presented. For entrees we had tinga, mole colorado tlaxcalteca, nopales con cerdo, the special which was pork mole, and last but certainly not least, indio vestido. Service was incredibly courteous and polite and they paid attention to our needs... More

This restaurant was on our must try list because we love Mexican and wanted to try something different and the reviews were good. We finally tried it one weekday evening in late August early September with just a few patrons (not busy). It was a bad experience. We just don't get the great reviews. And I just read that they... Tucked away in Powderhouse Square in Somerville, Tu y Yo is only a short walk from bustling Davis Square, and well worth it. The restaurant features authentic moles, not only the typical chocolate-based ones, but green moles, red moles, and more. The food is delicious. Try the fish of the day with moleverde, or chicken breasts with colorado mole. A... More

If you want reasonably priced and amazingly delicious Mexican food, go to Tu Y Yo. I love the Chicken Mole and the Rellenos. I highly recommend this restaurant.
