It’s fun to eat here mostly because it figures so prominently on Norman Rockwell’s painting of Stockbridge, MA. It’s a large, historic hotel with period furniture. Lunch experience was average, but it was a fun stop to make and we were glad we did it.

Wonderful salad, clam chowder. All made from scratch including the rolls and crackers. Beautiful Inn in historic Stockbridge. Had mango sorbet for dessert, and sat on the porch afterwards where they also have impeccable service while you enjoy a drink after your wonderful meal. Beautiful.

Had a vegetarian dish specially prepared for me. It was a good combination of vegetables. Unfortunately the fresh basil that was part of it was very bitter, probably harvested from a flowering basil plant. So I was quite disappointed.
