This is your grand old bed and breakfast that is a must to see in Stockbridge! The dining room is beautifully decorated with various teapots, dishes and other vintage items. The butternut bisque soup was very flavorful, turkey sandwich very fresh, and the chicken pot pie also great! Service was good, but could have been more friendly. Explore the lobby... More

This year we opted to drive over the Stockbridge, MA to dine at the Red Lion. It ended up being an excellent choice. Not only was the food delicious but the service was fantastic and the atmosphere historic, authentic and pleasant. A fire in the main lobby was burning on this sunny, yet cool March Sunday and it gave a... More

There is something unique, special and historic about the setting. They serve on original plates, using real silver and light a candle on the table as you sit town. The prime rib with mashed potatoes, vegetable and popover were excellent as was the brown sugar cake for dessert. nice wine, the shepherd's pie was also good. The clam chowder was... More

Great options for breakfast and dinner. We dined in the Tavern for dinner as we liked the atmosphere better. Best meal we had in a long time. Cocktails, ceasar salads, a glass of wine, country pate, filets, and the warm brown sugar cake for dessert. We waddled back to our room.

Our first visit to Stockbridge MA. After visiting the Norman Rockwell Museum we were ready for lunch if in town. It's a small town and the Red Lion Inn is a prominent landmark. The dining room was available but we chose to eat in the pub. It's a cozy spot, very old New England, with wide plank wood floors and... More

My husband and I went to lunch here with friends. The wait to be seated was to long, we waited at least min before anyone eve came to ask us if we wanted to be seated. The dining room was not that crowded, but the service was extremely slow. The food was not very good, it was plated nicely, but... More

We stopped by the historic Red Lion for a light lunch and really liked the experience. The lunch menu is compact but offered a nice variety of soups, sandwiched and salads. We had the crab cake sandwich with a warm rice/spinach salad with aioli on the side. I can also recommend the half turkey sandwich with a cup of clam... More

What a nice surprise! Not only is the inn charming, but the dining room is actually quite lovely. In no way is it typical hotel food, but rather delicious traditional fare that is served with care and simple presentation. Turkey, roast beef, etc. with all the trimmings were all excellent. Came here the day after Christmas and enjoyed the tree... More

We ate here for our anniversary. The food was just ok. Nothing wowed us. We started with shrimp cocktail which was good and on point for the price. We also had clam chowder which was good, but not outstanding. I will give them credit that the food wasn't too salty, which I appreciated. Wine selection was good if you want... More
