I've eaten there about 6 times in the past 18 months. The food is consistently excellent BUT .... a) Don't go there when it's crowded/busy: after the wait, the crowd noise is unpleasant and the service gets slow. b) Don't go there is the bar is full: the noise will ruin your evening unless you like very noisy restaurants. c)... Nice place and the food is good. The atmosphere is really nice and the downstairs is a nice little area to just hang out and relax.

Food is always great. Marsala is my favorite, along with lobster tails for dessert! But service can be slow.

This was our first visit to Artichokes since it moved from Malden. I must say that we were all a bit disappointed. We got there a 5:45 and had to wait 1 hr 10 mins to be seated. Once we got seated it took 1 hr 20 mins to get our meals. The waitress rattled off the specials but neglected... More

Met up with some friends at Artichokes the other night after receiving a gift card for Christmas. I used to go here all the time when it was in Malden. I think my family and I used to go at least once a week because we were obsessed with the food. When I first sat down, I was sad to... More

Trip to Wakefield to try the Artichoke restaurant. Street parking, Small restaurant. small crowd, with a small menu. We were not sure where to park and ended up parking a block away. Service was okay, food was okay, we did expect better. I had the Frutti De Mare which was not as I hoped for, Spouse had Haddock and she... More

Artichokes doesn't sound like a great Italian place, however, it is. The food is absolutely great and we go there about once a month to enjoy it. The prices are a bit high, however, once you sit down and enjoy their fabulous food, you realize it is definitely worth it. Enjoy!

There were four in our party. We arrived at opening because we wanted an early evening because the next day was going to start early and go long. It seemed to have thrown them a little, because the chef and staff hadn't finished their meeting yet. But we were welcomed and treated to a lovely table by the window. We... More

I love the mozzarella and tomatoe salad always enough for two to share. Food is always so fresh tasting. Lobster tail desert is to die for.

Waitstaff need better people skills - doing them a favor eating here and spending your hard earned money. Food is tasty but in my opinion overpriced. After a few visits decided the atmosphere and the lack of politeness wasn't worth giving this restaurant another try.
