We were lucky enough to have food from this fantastic restaurant brought into our office today. Loved every bite! The food was absolutely delicious and the order arrived hot and on time. The delivery person was incredibly nice and helpful. Can't wait to have Karibu Restaurant food again soon!

I had no idea there was a Ugandan restaurant in Massachusetts, but a former student of mine said she knew of one, and that it was well worth a visit. She was right. Karibu (the word is Swahili, and it means "welcome" or "you're welcome," I am told) is a small but very pleasant restaurant, tucked away on Crescent Street,... More

We spend a lot of time on Moody Street and decided to look for a new restaurant. Found Karibu and we're completely in love with it. It's quiet, low-key, and very simple, but the folks working (and dining) there were so nice to us and the food was out of this world. There isn't really a menu but they'll gladly... More

Having spent a lot of time in East Africa I was very excited to find a Ugandan restaurant in Waltham - and now have gone very far out of my way to eat here multiple times over the years. Amazing Ugandan cuisine with many ingredients imported directly from Uganda and Zanzibar. Brought some friends today and enjoyed the "family meal"... More

My wife and I are not familiar with East African (Ugandan) food so our waiter (who might also be the owner) said he would prepare a family-style meal so we could sample the types of food. Service was relaxed but we don't go out to eat if we're in a hurry; we had books to read. It was clear that... More

Hi I'm a tour guide and we had dinner at the end of Sept. My clients and I were delighted with the quality of food, excellent staff and quickness. I will be back, can't wait to taste the Crayfish again.......

From the time that I booked the place, to the point where I called to say we would be late, to our arrival and eventual departure, we were made to feel special. The staff were great, the setting just perfect for a birthday celebration and the food excellent. The staff, you can see, are well trained. They were friendly and... More

Really the only bad thing I can say here is that I can't believe I owned a rental property in this neighborhood for 10 years and after trolling up and down Moody Street never discovered that this was here until the week I sold the property (my lawyer's office is on this block)?! Came with a group of 6 food-centric... More

We went to the Karibu tonight as my son and daughter-in-law are moving to Uganda in a few weeks and it was a chance for his mother and I to get a sense of what life might be like for them. For the two of them our experience was like a trip back in time to when they used to... More
