About
Il Capriccio serves a constantly changing Northern Italian menu featuring local products with an award winning Italian wine and Grappa list. Though long considered a local secret, Il Capriccio has been the number one Northern Italian restaurant in Zagat's for the past seven years. The wine list has been featured in Decanter, Sante, Wine & Spirits and Stuff. The same menu is served in the Bar. We like to serve great food and great wine in a comfortable setting.

It has been 14 years since last time we visited. Seems like a different set-up with the separated spaces with a few tables in each, which a big plus. Not as noisy. The food is as you would expect in a upscale place in Boston's...More

Il Capriccio has long been our favorite restaurant in all of Boston. The food has been consistently amazing, the service is very friendly and attentive, and the wine list is impressive. Our favorites are the decadent Soufflé di Porcini, the surprisingly moist Chicken Schnitzel, the...More

Enjoyed dinner while visiting our granddaughter at Bentley. Exceptional staff, some wonderful menu offerings, and a wine list that rivals Bern's Steak House in Tampa. We enjoyed the linguini with lobster, the chicken schnitzel, and the fettuccine carbonara. All delicious. We found the portion option...More

Yes, you can spend a lot and have a divine meal. What people miss is you can have a divine budget friendly meal by skipping a traditional entree. Regulars enjoy sampling throughout the menu.

Not casual but you do not need to get dressed up. Business casual is fine.

The restaurant can be lively on some evenings like Saturdays but not usually too noisy. You can request a quiet table when making a reservation. We would be happy to accommodate you!
