I used to come to Bittersweet often in the past, but I hadn't been in many years and I won't likely be back. My husband and I went Saturday night 3/4, early 5ish, to eat in the Tavern. We sat at the end if the bar. It was so noisy due to waitstaff congregating at the end and talking about... More

A very nice place for dinner or a private event. When events are happening upstairs the downstairs tavern serves dinner. Often crowded, call ahead. Good servers, great food, full bar, plenty of parking.

The atmosphere is rustic in the form of a barn. They can take reservations and have two choices: nice and casual in the tavern in the basement or a little more fancy up above.

AmtrakFan 1, thanks for your review. We typically only serve food in the downstairs tavern and host large events upstairs on the "main floor." From time to time, we'll open the main floor for public dining too. We're glad you enjoyed your visit! More

We've only eaten at the tavern downstairs - ambiance is nice, food is always good. Great variety in the menu. Be warned that if there is a wedding going on upstairs or if they have a band playing downstairs (weekend nights usually), it can get quite loud in the small space...

Take this with a grain of wisdom... we had soup and salads. We dined in the lower level bar area with the fireplace going on this, the first night with a frost warning in 6 months. The Chicken Cobb salad was $17, and full of chicken, egg, nice greens, bacon and actually well worth the price. The Harvest salad $8... More

We arrived without a reservation and were lucky to get a table. Fantastic server, varied and interesting menu at both ends of the price range. Duck, fish, sandwich and soup all rave reviews. And a lovely setting. Manager checked in to see how we were doing. Wish this place was closer to home, but we will definitely be back the... More

When I go here I always go downstairs to the pub, really nice cozy spot by the fire on a winter evening with a pint of local beer .The food is good a little pricy but you pay for what you get. Music on the week-end is unobtrusive so you can hear yourself think,

We visited on 8/7 after hearing they offer a buffet brunch on the 1st Sunday of the month. We were impressed by the lovely location, friendly wait staff and delicious varieties of both breakfast and lunch food including luau pork, prime rib and shrimp. We were celebrating a special birthday and were delighted by the chocolate fountain with the delicious... More

My niece had her reception at Bittersweet Farm and it was simply amazing. I had gone with her to the food tasting months before the wedding and the food was delicious and it was delicious at the wedding as well. The venue was just beautiful. Outside patio hosted cocktail hour with an acoustic guitar player who was great! From the... More
