Not the greatest food, but busy place. Don't order the fried clams...I should have known better! But otherwise, it was busy and seemed popular among some locals.

We arrived at Jakes and were warmly greeted and seated right away. It is not a fancy place but quite neat and clean. The wait staff were very personable and efficient. My husband ordered a seafood combo ( clams/scallops) which came with fries and cole slaw, and onion rings. The fish was a good size portion especially with The price... More
Not gourmet more homestyle. Good food and good prices! Everything I've ever had had has been good. In Summer they have an ice cream stand with the best ice cream in the area.
My wife and I frequently go to Crazy Jakes. The service is fast and courteous. The food is not fancy but it is delicious and the portions are very, very generous. It is very much a family restaurant. The prices are the crazy part -- Crazy Jakes is a great value. The restaurant seems to feature seafood but the burgers... More
Just got back from Jakes. Outstanding as usual. Service was great. I had the southern cheeseburger, my wife had the fish tacos ( she says they are the best she's ever had), and our grand daughter had blackened scallops. all 3 meals were wonderful and the bill came to less than $50. Great place for any meal
Terrific sausages and bacon, perfectly done! Yummy scrambled eggs, not over cooked, just right. Wait staff kept the coffee flowing.
If you're looking for a casual dining, a good meal and a great place to meet you're friends this is it! The food is always excellent and the price is fair. This is quickly become the Friday night meeting point for my group of friends.

I'm probably not surprised. As I recall it has been more than 7 years since I last tried Jake's. I only remember being very disappointed then, but nothing specific. We decided to give it another go, having had a coupon. Needless to say my older son's burger was literally "raw" on the inside. Yes "raw" not rare. My younger son's... More
