Met a friend for Happy Hour here and it was very disappointing. The bartender seemed bothered by every question. The food was weak, the place was completely empty, which I suppose should have been the tip off.

If you like meat, this is your kind of place! The food is spectacular and the wine and cocktail list isn't shabby, either. I highly recommend the specials of the day as well as the wine recommendations by your server, especially if his name is Joshua, who happens to be a certified sommelier. If you are unsure, he will guide... More

Happy Hour feels like an affordable way to gain access to this otherwise expensive menu. We ended up with eight small plates for the four of us and left stuffed and satisfied. Great food, reasonable drinks and great atmosphere add up to a Happy Hour winner in our book!

Had dinner with a group , was impressed by the many staff personal, my shock was the prices they charge for just ok food, presentation of the food on plate was very nice for just ok. The only parking option is valet and that was complementary mandatory fee. Decor and atmosphere were very nice. Yet $20 for a hamburger worth... More

I made a reservation to bring my significant here for his birthday, when the young lady called to confirm my reservation, she said she saw that I noted it was his birthday and asked did I want to pre select a dessert to be brought out after dinner with a candle and happy birthday plaque, I said yes! Once we... More

From beautiful ambience of this stunning restaurant to the delicious food and awesome staff, Big Rock is one of my all time favorites. I have dined inside as well as on the lovely patio, and have always had the best meal. I was also a hostess at a shower at Big Rock and everyone was thrilled with the food and... More

We had a surprise Birthday party for a friend here. The food was great and the service too. The calamari and smoked salmon appetizers were outstanding. Overall this place one of my favorite in Birmingham area.

From the minute I drove into the parking lot I knew it was going to be a pleasant experience. Greeted by very friendly valet parking attendants. Once inside we were greeted by the hostess who was very accommodating. The atmosphere was elegant yet warm and inviting. Our server Kevin was like a long lost friend we'd know for years. When... Enjoyed dinner and drinks here with a client. Good selection of spirits. Solid wine list. Steaks were all fine. Non-meat-eaters had good options including the excellent scallops. Enjoyed the raw oysters, too. Not inexpensive, but comparable to other restaurants like this. Would return.

I know the Big Rock has been there a long time but......We started with soup. The seafood chowder had a consistent flavor of rosemary? I had a hard time tasting the seafood. I had the duck, it was a little rubbery. Maybe if it had been sliced thinner? My husband had the braised short rib, it was a little dry.... More

Description
Formerly Norman's Eton Street Station, Big Rock Chop House combines the rustic, casual feel of a mountain lodge with the high-energy of a contemporary club, an eclectic mix unlike any other Metro Detroit dining experience, The menu bursts with enormous, hand-cut, aged steaks & chops, including a 24oz Porterhouse, a 16oz Kansas City Strip Steak, a 20oz or 32oz Jumbo Bone-In Rib Eye, a 12oz Filet Mignon, Center Cut Pork Chops, double cut Lamb Chops & a 16oz Veal Porterhouse Chop. Other selections include Rocky Mountain Chicken, Canadian Whitefish & Dover Sole presented tableside.
Adjoining the restaurant is a brew house, with custom, state-of-the-art equipment. Award-winning brew master Dan Rogers has created 4 signature beers to compliment the restaurant's distinctive American fare: Norm's Raggedy Ass Ale, Raymondo El Rojo, Flying Buffalo Stout & Weizenheimer Hefe Weizen. In addition to these, Rogers adds a seasonal & specialty brew to the bar, which he changes frequently.
