Small-town feel with small-town prices. My wife and I had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and turkey Reuben. Very good. Service was excellent and personable. Also had homemade rhubarb and apple pie al a mode. Fantastic! Highly recommended.

We were ready for lunch while driving through the Upper Peninsula of Michigan when this diner came into view. Being the U. P., our expectations were not high, but we were pleased with the experience. Service was friendly and efficient. The food was plentiful and freshly cooked. Given the small town location, it is best not to pay too much... More

Char's must have had an off day, as it had been recommended to us. The bun for the hamburger was soggy, and burrito was about 1/3 full, limp, and flavorless.

Still super food! Farmers omelet is the best, coffee flows freely, wait staff friendly, locals and passer-throughs welcome. This is a local, long time establishment near M-28 & US45 in Bruce Crossing, Mi. There are few places to dine heading on M-28 or US 45 so unless you plan to drive many more miles you many want to feed here...especially... More

This cafe is consistent in staff, cleanliness, and food. Nothing fancy, just your basic little home town fare. Can count on a good burger and fries, and don't forget the long list of homemade pies, including the elusive raspberry! We stop here often on our way thru town.

Third fall in a row visited Char's for breakfast and dinner. Very good breakfast, many options. Lunch and dinner menu have the usual skillet and fryer fare. At dinner they usually have a special entrée which is usually good tasting and a good value. Always available are a number of home made pies - not to miss, take a slice... More

I sure am glad we found this place. Clean with a friendly wait staff. I would have to suggest stopping here for a bite to eat. The breakfast was great even though I was not expecting much in a tiny little town called Bruce Crossing.

Char's was a convenient stop for lunch after my wife and I visited the nearby Agate Falls. It's seat yourself here and we plopped down under the HD TV in back near the kitchen. Our waitress who looked as though she's worked there since it opened was friendly and efficient. Drinks arrived quickly and our orders were quickly served. I... More
