They are always changing up their menu, great farm to table. As well as wonderful donuts and breads.

We stopped for a late breakfast, but they stopped serving it by 11:30am. Picking from the lunch menu, we both were very very pleased with the flavor of the food. Next time we travel through town we will stop again!

They always have something different each day. Or if you would like the same, their Nature Lovers Salad is perfect for the everyday lunch!!!

The Blue Heron Cafe promotes wholesome eating and local ingredients as much as possible. Everything is delicious and there is always something interesting and different on the menu. If not for breakfast or lunch, you also just stop in for bread or bakery items. Cookies are worth every calorie.

We stopped to have breakfast after spending a long weekend at Cabrafae. We chose Blue Heron because we've never eaten there and other reviews were favorable. Although prior reviews had mentioned that the menu was brief, I didn't realize that it would only have 8 or so breakfast entree choices. However, what the menu lacked, the food made up for... More

I was somewhat underwhelmed by the menu at first- then I tried the food. Whole, local ingredients make all the difference. You won't be disappointed!

The menu is always evolving...and healthy. Taste is never a question and portions are substantial. The soup selections are amazing and tasty. And don't miss the fresh baked goods...if there's any left when you get there!

Favorite place for fresh donuts, breakfast and lunch! They have a nice seasonal menu. Blue Heron is one of the only places in Cadillac to get fresh, tasty vegetarian and vegan food. Their chicken sandwiches and pesto eggs and bacon are two of my favorites.

The Blue Heron serves an excellent breakfast and lunch in large proportions; they are not open for dinner. Food is always fresh and unique. Daily lunches include a choice of 2 homemade soups w/complimentary homemade sourdough bread and a variety of sandwiches on homemade sourdough bread or wraps. Salads are always freshly made and filled with fruit, vegetables, and/or meat with tasty dressings. Two baker's display cases are filled each morning with fresh cookies, fried cakes, muffins, bagels, pies, cakes, and a large variety of sweet rolls, baked on site. Customers congregate there for coffee and a choice of doughnut or cookie. Their breakfasts are hearty and delicious. The owner is the cook, and it is a treat to find such a high quality restaurant in this small tourist town.
