A fun place to visit, especially after a Mexican Town meal. Sort of a "buffet style" selection process with shelves full of tasty pastries. Inexpensive too. Definitely worth a visit.

Whenever we visit mexicantown for a meal we always walk sown the street to La Gloria bakery for some cookies and goodies. Always the same good quality and large selection. Never had stale or old baked goods in the last 20 years of visiting. We particularly like the sugar cookies and the cinnamon twists.

Delicious stuffed tamales. Better than most places that specialize in tamales. These are fresh. I have found many tamale places make ahead then thaw the tamales out. I take home dozens so I CAN FREEZE them. Refrozen tamales are dry so la Gloria tamales taste great no matter what!!!

Not much to say about a bakery. Place is packed with shelving full of a very wide variety of Mexican (and some American) pastries. Worth a stop after lunch.

After a disappointing dinner in Mexicantown, we walked across the street to La Gloria and were totally delighted in this unique little bakery. We had a hard time containing ourselves to just a few choices since we were returning to our hotel room. We chose a cherry turnover, an apple turnover, 2 churros, a macroon, a cream puff, and a... I came here during Day of the Dead, after a meal at the across-the-street Los Galanes and it was so busy during lunchtime! There was a line outside! But luckily, when I finished eating at Los Galanes, it wasn't so busy! The chocolate rat (a brownie shaped like a rat) was decent. The pumpkin sweet bread was good! I really... More

I have been there many times. As a matter of fact, I stop there each time I go into Mexicantown (and times when I have to visit our corporate office). Excellent bakery

Very affordable. Grab a pair of tongs and load up a tray. I love the cookies that say " Bite Me ". I pass them out as gifts/gags.

Sweet bread is really awesome, Mexican style! It is too far away from my house (1 hr driving) but it worth to go there every month.
