A rural location with a surprisingly varied menu. It was quiet on this wet Thursday night but it still managed to a cosy atmosphere. Good range of beers and the specials menu offered something for everyone. Reasonably priced.

We had not been to the FightingCocks since the new owners took over, they have really put some effort in to improving the facilites. The food is honest country pub, with a few interesting additions. Beer excellent.

We phoned ahead and asked if we could park a van and a horse trailer in their car park and then ride our horses from the Dinny In Chelmarsh. Which was a wonderful horse ride along the Jack Mitten Way. We had a lovely cup...More

One great little pub. Live music, great beer and a great atmosphere. Food is great. Steak night when we called in. Worth more than the £10 they charge. Filled out faces. Homemade puddings, treacle tart was brill! Didn't even share it. Will definitely be going...More

The Fighting Cocks is just what we look for in a pub serving food. This is a traditional small country pub with plenty of rustic charm, very different from today's modern style pub chains. Good quality home cooked food, at reasonable prices. The very friendly...More

I visited on 12th Aug with some family. We had a thoroughly good evening. What struck me was that everything was home cooked, even down to the bakewell tart we had for deserts (most restaurants buy that in). It had a great selection of local...More

Hello, we took over The Fighting Cocks six months ago and one of the first policies we introduced was to make our pub child and dog friendly so absolutely yes, you are more than welcome.
