They called and said it was the checking card company that charged me for a tip I did not leave. Still why would they get a tip for a take out order.

The kielbasa and sauerkraut was amazing. But my husband's noodles for his meatballs and gravy were grossly over cooked and inedible. I also felt like the pierogi were odd textured and not very good. Staff was friendly though.

Had both the Roast pork and Rouladen. Portions were generous and the Rouladen was sooooo tender and flavorful! We are Bohemian/German in heritage and have visited many restaurants in Chicago area. Will definitely be back here if we revisit Hamatrack/Detroit area!

Old school charm, please don’t ever change! We tried potato/cheese and sauerkraut pierogies, dill pickle soup, kielbasa soup, city chicken, and the daily special which was meatballs with gravy and egg noodles. Don’t hesitate to visit. Easy, free parking lot adjacent to the restaurant. Please...More

I'm always amazed and the staff and how quick they are able to serve everyone. The only draw back is that there is no place to wait for tables without being in everyone's way. But then again I think that's part of the of experience.

I am not Polish. Slovak is close enough. This is the food of past family get togethers. There was always kielbasa, stuffed cabbage and pierogis. There are other things on the menu as well. The stuffed peppers and the fried chicken livers are delicious. The...More

If you want authentic Polish foods and soups, this is your place. Tripe soup, czarnina (duck blood soup) are here. Love the combo plate

On a trip back to Detroit, we HAD to eat lunch (cash only!) here. CONS: Funky smell when you walk in, down the steps, small and dark with maybe 15 tables and a tiny, not the newest or cleanest restroom. (The food is worth it.)...More

I stopped in for lunch and the place was packed with locals. We were promptly seated. The dill pickle soup is wonderful, as are the perogies, stigged cabbage, & potato pancakes. Prices are decent and service is really good. If in Detroit, it is worth...More

I am not sure if they take reservations. I was told there was more seating upstairs, but they were lined up outside the door the whole time we were there and there was a long wait. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
