Partner and I were looking for lunch and through these trying times possibly socialization at the bar. Everette and Georgia were well knowledges in the menu and had a great charm that I would recommend to any of my friends.
Customers only very recently were required to wear a mask while walking through restaurants (by the way, I completely agree and support this change). But I was there just a few days after this new policy and I witnessed the manager reeming out several customers...for forgetting their mask.
I guarantee most other restaurants are kindly reminding people as we all get used to this change. Why push your customers away with your terrible attitude. Made for a displeasant atmosphere and me and my friends won't be going back.
Oh, and I've visited other Browns, and this is the only time I've been disappointed in their food.More
We were seated on one of the picnic tables that was surrounded by a cute lil white picket fence. Menus were on paper and only used once. Our table was cleaned right in front of us. Hand sanitizer on every table. All servers were wearing...masks which allowed for more comfort and relaxation. I felt the owner/supervisor must respect their staff and customers. My cucumber margarita was excellent - definitely will have again. Cod bowl was such a nice treat and our Ahi tuna appetizer was so nicely divided for us to share. We'll be back!!! Service & covid protocols were exemplary, which has been rare to find at other establishments.More
This Browns used to be a regular spot for us to grab a simple meal and a beer on a night when we didn’t feel like cooking. The last 2 times we have gone before 8 pm we’ve been told they have already done their...last call for the kitchen! Really disappointing. Doubt we will be back.More
What do I mean continuity? This place is consistantly good.
Went with my bud the first time and had fish tacos, went back with my wife the second time and had the same thing!
Rasberry Margaritia a litlle bitter but not bad.
Wife had beef...dip looked good.
Yam fries great
salad good too!
It was very pro. They seat you and serve you fairly decently. The first time wait for food was 5 min the second time about 15 min.
Very fresh reasonable prices.
Carpet could use a vacuum. Just get one of those things that is like a carpet and picks up lint etc. Noise free
Been to about 30-40 resturants in Victoria and this one is pretty good overall free parking out front, central location away from down town.
left a decent tip and she was very happyMore
Last night I visited the newly reopened Browns, it was good to see cleaning of tables and chairs between customers, taking a phone number for contact tracing, hand sanitizer on the table. What was not good was the server taking my order and standing within...1 foot of me as well as coming extremely close to customers at other tables. This morning I phoned the manager to express my concerns and he said he was within the guidelines for covid. I replied that none of us want to go back to stage one and see businesses and restaurants closed down again due to a spike in cases. He repeated that he was within guidelines and if there were a few cases because of this it was not a big deal. I found his attitude very alarming as we all need to do our part to ensure we do not see a second wave of cases.
As far as I know nowhere does it say in the guidelines that we are allowed to come this close to people not in our inner circle. Hopefully the B.C. guidelines will be quickly changed to address this issue.More
Great place to meet and talk with friends! Upbeat but not so noisy that you can't visit. The service was excellent and they are good about adapting entrees to meet your requirements. I had the Cowboy salad . . hold the dates and croutons. It...was excellent! Plentiful and filling.More
Stopped in a couple times this month. Had the southwest bowl, and the dragon bowl. I have to say both were delicious. I think I liked the southwest bowl with blackened chicken a bit more as it had more raw components, and the dragon bowl...was stir fried veggies and chicken. Both times the food came fairly quickly. The server’s were very pleasant and attentive. I really enjoyed eating here and would definitely recommend itMore
