Tried this place out the last time we were in the area for business. Lots of selection for beer, lots of food choices and helpful staff. The beer "exchange" idea was interesting, didn't really impact what we ordered though.

The food is fantastic. The stock market exchange makes for fun entertainment. Always busy. I do find the bartenders tend to not always be super friendly.

So this was my first time here on business. I was confused by the way they sell beer. The prices change ever 15 minutes based on demand. Fortunately the porter I ordered was on the slide. The beer selection is immense. I had a side...More

Ok the bell and changing prices is gimmicky beyond measure, but the beer was good, the atmosphere diverse and pleasant, the servers nice and professional both, and the food better than decent.

After a visit nearby we were hungry. We came here and were happy we did. We all had burgers and they were great. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The kitchen is open until 9 or 10 p.m. so I'm sure under 18 is allowed until then or a little after. Hope this helps.

I think older kids (tween/teen) would be fine here for lunch or early dinner. More a bar than a restaurant, but the food's quite good & it's a clean/nice environment. Imo, there are much better family dinner options... More

Description
The Kalamazoo Beer Exchange is a two-story multi-tap bar and grill located in the beautifully restored Globe Building in downtown Kalamazoo. Offering 28 rotating draught beers from around the world, The Exchange opens at 6 p.m., where draught beers are priced on real-time sales, like the stock market. Occasional "market crashes" drop beer prices to their all-time low. The food menu features pub fare with a twist, where classic dishes will be made new again.
