Late lunch (1:15) passing thru town but didn't want fast food. Not busy. Waited over 45 min. for what we hoped were hamburgers. Chips were good. Waitress curt & not concerned in the least about customer service. Coke came 3/4 glass full of ice. Ordered burgers 'med well'. One was, one was only med. Waitress offered to return to grill... This was our 2nd visit. The first time was good, this time SUCKED! We went on a Friday, its "all you can eat cod" night. We ordered 2 appetizers & our meals. My husband ordered the Cod ($13.99 mind you). We got all our food & appetizers together. Should of been our first sign! My nachos were good, my son... More

Went for the prime rib special on a Sunday. It was very good. There was a salad bar and home made rolls. The decor is dated and a bit dark.

Went in for the fish fry, it was good but very small portions, you can get more but it takes time, good salad bar. It could be a northern gem if they tried a little better with portion, presentation, and service, I will try it again to be sure.

We stopped in to (new name) Up North Grill while driving through Kalkaska on a Sunday morning. When we walked in, two men were busily scrubbing the floor. I asked if they were open yet, and the owner put down his mop to give us a warm welcome. "Of course, come in, come in!" He came right over to tell... More

Visited 5 times since the name change. Worse with each visit. Inattentive wait staff, even on slow times. Food is just OK . Doubt I'll come back.

Stopped in for a late lunch and even with less than 10 people in here, it took us over 30 minutes to get our food. Wasn't impressed with the food or service!!!

Thyis restaurant re-opened last summer after a period of closing . I thought that the menu would be new but it seems that the food is rather ordinary and the prices rather expensive. I ordered a steak, and it was inedible because of gristle and fat. I complained to the on-site manager, who seemed to think that there was nothing... More

This restaurant has changed ownership and it's name. It's now known as the Up North Grill. The inside is very nice with their redesign. There are some flat screen TV's now and the bar area is very nice. Their food is tasty but a little on the pricey side. It's considered one of the "finer" restaurant in our small town.

We waited for our food for over a hour and the waitress didn't even seem to care! Our food was madeincorrectly and we were told we could wait for new food to be made but it would be awhile! That's an understatement! we choose to just eat what was made. It was also very hot I. The restaurant, I am... More
