Stopped on the way up north for a quick dinner. The wait was so long although there weren't that many in line. The waitresses spent more time complaining about the horrible kitchen staff and how the problems weren't their fault and how bad a previous cook was. It seemed the cooks make each tabled food separately and each table has... More

Driving home to Northern Michigan from Grand Rapids, we elected to stop at the Kalkaska Big Boy restaurant for an early supper. We each had a grilled cod dinner, including a side salad, a serving of potatoes, coffee. As usual, this meal was reasonably tasty, prepared just right, and served by waitress Ashley, who was both professional and thoughtful. Pricing,... More

The waitress at the Kalkaska Big Boy was great! Angela did a great job keeping our spirits up as we waited for our meals, refilling our beverages and keeping everything moving along for our lunch. The food itself, however, was drab. Boring. It fits the description of Big Boy food, but the cooks didn't seem to care much about how... More

The Kalkaska Big Boy's has the WORST service, argumentative staff, and average food. When we are in that area we go to Cadillac, Traverse City, or Houghton Lake for a Big Boy... I grew up on Big Boys, they were a treat - one family joke is how my mother craved them when my parents were stationed in Germany and... More

it is the typical chain place. Menu is the same as all the other ones. Service is slow and not very friendly.

Visiting a friend in Kalkaska I found this pizza place and all I can say for an honest review is in one word - YUMMY! The pizzas here are very generously topped with fresh toppings and you get to choose your own, needless to say I visited here often while staying!

Very popular with locals and visitors alike. The food was good; service was attentive. Wait staff did a good job with our table of eight. One of the good breakfast places in Kalkaska.

This place was filthy. The workers all looked like they've been wearing the same shirt for 10 yrs. And most were dirty. The waitress we had was very sweet and did a great service. But i would never stop here again. Yuk.

Food wasn't done nor did they fix it with ease. They seem to act like we didn't know what we were talking about. Then we had a camera stolen out of our car in the northland grocery department. We seen the kid and gave a great discription only for the village Sargent Glen artress to take his sweet time sitting... More
