Friday night fish fries offer an excellent variety of fish, including blue gill. Soups for lunch are wonderful, especially the chicken pot pie. They are now serving breakfast too.

Have eaten here several times and have always enjoyed the food, especially the broasted chicken! Just recently they have started to serve breakfast. Their omelets are delicious. I especially like the large coffee cups!

Although it has been a long while since visiting the Painted Lady Saloon, my wife & I enjoyed another fantastic dinner on Friday night. The broasted chicken was very good as was the fried fish. The potatoes and gravy served with the chicken was fantastic. The saloon has added custom table coverings since I was last in the place. The... More

We were steered here by the owner of the local B&B where we were spending the weekend. We arrived at about 7 on a Friday night and seated without delay which should have told us something. The waitress seemed to do her best to provide the absolute minimum of service all night. Two of us had broasted chicken, which was... More

This was the 2nd time I ate here-this time, just average. My wives burger-something didn't taste right. My fish/chicken special was OK, nothing more. Way to long to get our food, way too long-the whole ordeal. Waitress didn't seam like she was on it.

Great food, good price. Recommend chicken fried steak and Parmesan Tilapia. We go early as it gets crowded with large groups after 6 pm.

Awesome Chicken pot pie soup!!! I had my doubts about the name, but the soup is fantastic!!! Must try! And their broasted chicken is a must!!!! Beats KFC hands down!!! Atmosphere is unique with an 1800's bar!

The bar was really cool..we liked that the actual bar was old and had so much natural charm..the bartender was friendly and convinced us that we should come back for dinner for the broasted chicken. I guess that is the house special..

This place is a fun and enjoyable place to visit. I have been here several times and I have been happy with the food and service. I had the fish basket special the last time and I was delighted with it. The fish, haddock, was crisp and tender and not at all greasy. The fish pieces had a nice shape... More

The Painted Lady Saloon is in a part of Manistee called Maxwelltown. It is on a road that at one time was the main route through town. It's an old building, but well kept and is quite famous for their broasted chicken and other entrees. We often get the chicken for business lunches and it's really good. I would suggest... More

The Painted Lady is located in Manistee, MI it is the oldest operating saloon in town. The bar and tin ceiling are original from when it was built back in the late 1880's. When Bob and Linda Venne bought the building in 1994 they turned it into The Painted Lady Saloon which is now well known for their broasted chicken and award winning home-made soup. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner plus a full bar from open to close. With a wide variety of food to choose from it's the perfect stop for a good meal and a little bit of history.
