We were with friends in Marquette for the UP 200 dogsled race, and picked Portside for lunch. Although it was very busy, we only had a short wait to be seated. We ordered the following sandwiches: House Roasted Turkey, Bacon, & Swiss; Tavern Ham & Swiss on Rye; and Skatchata (an Italian style sandwich served on their house made flat... More

Ah, yes, the Portside Inn. A fun place where locals and college students mix with tourists. Nice selection of craft beers, very good food, with a nautical theme décor. This isn't a pizza restaurant per se, but they DO have pizza. Check out the historical photos of Marquette with many pics of the harbor, shipping, and the ore docks area.... More

Portside breadsticks are a staple whenever I come to Marquette from Grand Rapids. Pair it with the French onion soup and you've got more than a meal, perfect for winter. Great sandwiches, burgers, appetizers. Pizza isn't my favorite, and the drinks can be a little pricey compared to the rest of the menu, but all in all, love this restaurant!... More

Portside is known for their bread sticks and cheese dipping sauce! I hope you are hungry because their portion sizes are large. The biggest problem at this restaurant is finding a table because it is so busy. We often get takeout instead of waiting for a table.

We met for lunch to discuss business. Though everybody was on their own the tip was included in the individual bills (we were considered a party over 5).........Just saying that we would have left a larger tip but didn't...........

Good food and friendly, prompt, accommodating staff. Smells kinda funky but not unbearable. Interesting decor.

Here on business and happened to try this restaurant. Great place to eat. I wish I could take it back home with me. The food was excellent. I had the Citrus Jumbo Sea Scallops and found them to be wonderful. I've never had better, even compared to fresh caught off the Florida coast. Further, the service was even better than... More
