I was out driving along the coast and stopped by the road end to see the sunset and low and behold it was next to this restaurant. It was still early in the season so it was not too crowded but it had a steady local crowd. I ate simply that evening but the food was quite nice and the... More

I really expected more from this restaurant based on the reviews and description. The restaurant had a dark feel, the waitress was average at best and worst of all the food was poor. The London Broil was fatty and in gravy that tasted like it was from a jar; in addition, it was very over priced. Will not go back,... More

Old Channel Inn is definitely a dining experience to savor. The place exudes atmosphere. Service is good. I understand the burgers are great. It is a relaxing place next to Lake Michigan.

The setting for this restaurant is an old house . . . The interior is like a cottage complete with knotty pine paneling. While I wouldn't exactly refer to this place as a fine dining experience, it was pleasantly rustic and/or quaint. The service was attentive. We enjoyed the perch dinner and the walleye dinner, which were reasonably priced, nicely... More

An old friend I reunited with took me here recently and, like a lot of things in life, one good thing led to another. My friend explained how this building was the original channel building for the active lumber mills in the area 100 years ago. The channel was re-routed some time ago, and this place became a fine restaurant/bar.... More

Four of us dined here in August, service was poor and the food was overpriced for what you got. We've decided to take this off our dining places.

This place was a little difficult for us to find but well worth it. The food was awesome and it's got that summer cottagey feel. Parking can be a challenge as it is an old converted house but once inside the staff is attentive, helpful and friendly. We had the perch and the walleye and they were great. We finished... More

Saw the place in passing and decided to come back for dinner. Sure glad we did. The place is an old house but don't let that fool you it is a quaint old restaurant inside. They seemed to be noted for have the best perch (aren't they all the same?) We ordered the perch and WOW, they have perfected the... More

OCI consistently delivers...great food, historical environment....always run into people I know. It is relaxing, year round. Whenever I have out of town visitors we end up at OCI. Highly recommend!
