Amazing sushi

Whilst staying at the Trinco Blu and getting a bit tired of the Breakfast and dinner buffet with my family, I looked up a good place to go for shushi as I had heard the seafood in Trinco was excellent. And my 12 & 16...year olds favourite food is sushi! I found this restaurant on Tripadvisor and was very impressed by the reviews. So we made our way there and after getting lost a few times (following Google Maps), called the phone number on the Tripadvisor site and realised it’s in the entrance to Fernandos. We had some amazing sushi and the kids who are sushi experts, said it’s the best sushi they have ever had! I asked the owner (Irfan) as to what his background in sushi was and he said he used to be the sushi chef at a resort in the Maldives (Huvafen) and his dream was to open his own restaurant in Sri Lanka. And since he’s a native of Trinco, he decided to start in Trinco. With food like his, I wished him all the best in the future!More

Best Sushi in the World!

I went here because a friend recommended it as a good restaurant. What he didn’t tell me is that they would have the best sushi I’ve ever eaten, hands down! The meal I had at this restaurant was legitimately one of the top five meals...I’ve had in my life, and it will be the one to which all future sushi dinners are compared. The owner was one of the most friendly and welcoming people I’ve ever met, and this place will be where I eat my first and last meal on every future trip to Trinco. I went by for breakfast one day, and both the coffee and banana pancakes were great, as well!More

Foodies paradise

Cafe on the 18th is the place to go if you’re looking for a unique dining experience in Trinco. The food you can get there is absolutely amazing. All of the dishes are cooked to perfection, with amazing flavors that will leave you wanting more....The Panko crusted jumbo prawns were my personal favorite, I never had anything comparable before. The fantastic food in combination with the great vibe of this beachfront location and the perfect service make Cafe on the 18th so special. It’s without any doubt a foodies paradise and hidden gem in Trinco and shouldn’t be missed.More

Great food, great ambience!

Really tasty brunch and just lovely to be by the sea. Coffee was excellent! A nice place to rest after a day of sightseeing

Japanese cuisine

Very good food. One of the best,Sybe the best restaurant of Dti Lankar. Very good vuisinand terrific look and especially the taste was outsry.

Best place in Trinco

New York City quality food and experience in Trinco, the only place where you can really indulge in delicious sushi and beautiful ambiance, drinks as well!

A unexpected delight!

My husband and I with family and friends had the most enjoyable lunch here in late October. Of course we had read the reviews on TripAdvisor before going there, but it outshone the best review by far! The unexpected find of authentic Japanese cuisine which...is utterly different ( and new) to the usual grilled fish and salad with pineapple ( which are fine too) one finds on the menus in beach front restaurants made the experience even more enjoyable. As the restaurant is in close proximity ( about 50 meters) to the beach, one can combine the meal with a bath! No alcohol is served but you can take your own or get it from Fernando’s bar next door! Highly recommend.More

Great new place on the beach

Since Irfan the owner moved on the beach the place is just the nestcrrstaurantvtobgavecasuan fusion food in Trinco. The sushi and tempura prawns were just amazing. Love the relax design.

Great food, best coffee

We had a very nice breakfast here! The french toast was delicious and the coffee was good here. People were very nice. Would definitely recommend!

Best place in Sri Lanka

This place became the favorite place for us to eat or just to drink coffee for the 4 days we were in trincomalee. the food is amazing, everything was so fresh and tasty. Also the owners were really really nice!!

Amazing food and drinks and the nicest staff

The best place to eat and drink in trincomale definitely recommend and worth a visit The staff are amazing people the food is fresh and amazing we have been here for a couple of days and this is our favorite place Do yourself a favor...and visit * The sushi is amazingMore

Delicious!

My friend and I stopped there two times, for breakfast and for a snack. We had a delicious coconut cappuccino with French toast and a mango bowl once, and coffee with a slice of fresh cheese cake. Everything just so good! Highly recommended!!

Would visit everyday!

If you are looking for quality food and drinks, this is the place to go! We have had both breakfast, lunch and dinner and all we have choosen has been excellent. I highly recommend their tunabowl and their different *nade's!. And they serve hands down...the best cup of coffee we have had in Sri Lanka!More

Must try when in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka

Sad that we only discovered this hidden gem of a restaurant on our last night in Trinco. Tried the Baramundi fish (Modha Fish Don) and the seer fish sashimi which were both to die for. Extremely friendly staff and the vibe completed our dining experience...here. Definitely visiting this place next time we are here.More
